There's more talk about rare earth magnets on the board, so I figured I'd post this quick secret about where to get them cheap.

    [att]8043[/att]

I picked up this Geomag set at walmart for $4.00, they are usually on clearance there and at TRU. The kit I got comes with 70 pegs, each with 2 ΒΌ" magnets on each end. A quick slice with your x-acto blade, and the magnets pop right out. So; $4.00 for 140 rare earth magnets..thats a little over 2 cents each :2c:

It's a cheap, quick source for magnets.

I have seen those toys, but they are pretty expensive here in Mexico. Maybe I could get a set when I came home.

LOL I cant believe how a lot of these toys magnets pop out so easy, their definitely not for little ones. That choking hazard label needs to be way bigger.

Bump! I need some magnets for my Dreadwing but the similar sets around here use full magnet rods. The Geomags I see on Ebay have the same package but fewer rods. How do I know if they have the same easily removable, child-killing magnets?

Are the magnets themselves as good as the rare-earth ones?
