Hey guys I've just finished my alt Swoop from a blue prowl and windcharger head and alt Slag from red meister and meister head slightly modded but I need some help What head and/or alt should I use for Sludge and Snarl? I have most of the alt heads at my disposal and I have a Silver Subaru, Red Viper, Red S2000, Black or Red Corvette and Dark Blue Scion molds at my disposal for these customs. I'm kind of thinking of using a Red Ford GT too. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys
I can see the Scion as Sludge the existing head would work nicely as for Snarl the bit about him that stands out is his silhouette with the tails at his shoulders So the Subaru, S2000 and the Corvete have sticky out bits at the right place the latter 2 also have the right sticky out bits at the top of the thighs. Tracks might be your best bet especially if you painted th emissile launchers gold and angled them upwards.

I agree. Sludge is kinda a dope and the Scion mold looks kinda slow pokish because of the bulk. I also agree with the Tracks mold. Do him up in a Gunmetal colour and paint the chassis around the exhaust red. The chest flap could go black. Insta Dynobot.
Here's what I did for an attempt at Alt Sludge. Sideswipe provided the head - I just shaved off the antenna ears and rounded off his chin a little. The body was an Alt Prime with the hood removal mod. I moved the bumper to behind the head, rather than on the chest as most mods did. I think that really made for a nice Sludge chest. The Scion mold would probably have worked too, but this allows for more red in bot mode that can be hidden in alt-mode a la Sludge's original Dinobot form. I could have done much better sanding the joints...I transformed him once and almost everything rubbed. Other than that, I was pretty happy with the results.
i digging the sludge above. AWESOME. snarl should be rugged. like a jeep. the back portion has a possibility having spikes. here's my view of the dinobots sludge- big car or truck snarl- rugged. almost like those 80's skinhead car look. spikes. swoop- slender and speed slag- same as snarl rugged but more like a rally car to me.
If you don't mine my imput, and what I created. Slag: I used Alt Ravage with a recasted Swindle head(added Antenna mounts, cheek guards) I felt the Corvette stood out more because the arm cannons could be Flame throwers as well as the over the shoulder missile launchers representing the larger Dino horns. Snarl: I used a Red painted Jazz as the Body, its style in bot mode seemed to match more and gave him Gold GT strips I want to add a spoiler to distingush him from the Jazz mode and the Shockwave model. Swoop: I used the Extra Deadend I had painted Aluminum and used the Windcharger head minus the visor and modded the doors so they looked like wings sticking out. The DE bot mode seemed like swoop to me more then the Honda S2000. Sludge: This has been the Baine of my Dinobots since.... To this day I can't deciede on the Ram, Jeep, Or Scion for his bot/alt mode I have the head already made from a Alt Skids Head with added parts that made it scream Sludge. It took me a long time almost a year and a half to kitbash the 3 of the 4 Dinobots needed. and I just need swords for Swoop, Snarl, and Sludge.
I used the Mustang for Sludge to try and keep a common theme with the dinobots and a Skids head with some "ears" added. I painted the hood red and added some reprolabels. The skids head works perfectly in my opinion, that's the whole reasone I did Sludge.
That's exactly what i did with the Skids head i used at one time i was gonna send the head to Gawd_Sic_6 to mass repro when i was a member at Transtopia
WOWZERS! Are you kidding me with this guy? That is freakin' fantastic!!! I've been thinking about using a SKids head but I don't know if I can add all that goodness you did to yours. I am sooo jealous. Update on the project* I've repainted Grimlock's head. Swoop is done I used a BT Blue Prowl, Windcharger head sans visor like suggested Snarl is a BT ZoomZoom with a painted and modded head from Jazz, gonna add those reprolabels tribal stickers Slag is from Sculpt-bots Sideswipe head and a Silverstreak body Still no Sludge but I got a few more ideas now Thanks for everyone's help I'll post a new thread when all 5 are done!
These are all really cool! Grimlock is a no-brainer (I'd hope ). I bought a custom Swoop made from a Camshaft by My03Tundra and added a customs spoiler to it. I really don't have plans for making the other 3, but I may. I also go with the name "Dynobots" for obvious reasons. I also use the term to encapsulate a gang of Autobots Grimlock leads . . .
