That is strange. Never seen alcohol do that to plastic before. Then again, the LOCs plastic has a different feel from you average TF.

The head is removed. I put it back together just to take this pic.

I use 91% Isopropyl. Generic Walmart stuff.

All it took was one swipe with it on a Qtip and the canopy paint disapered.

I am very sure that the paint used on those must have been alcohol based. And very thin at that. Alcohol will strip paints that have an alcohol vehicle. Vehicle=stuff that makes the paint flow.
