I've recently put together a small team of TFs to form a Decepticon 'Biker Gang' (I call 'em The Fallen's Disciples) and I had a look around for a Fallen faction symbol to use for them and was disappointed to find nothing that tickled my fancy on Toyhax and that even the Fallen logo from TFWiki (and the Titanium toy) was a bit of a let down...

So I'm putting together a more G1-ish version and I'm wondering which colour scheme to go for, so I'd like to throw it out there to the board - which do you prefer of these...

[IMG] or [IMG] or [IMG] or [IMG] or [IMG]? Or a different scheme entirely?

i think the red one is the best, but the red eyed yellow one is a close second

Yeah, I don't know why but even though yellow is the 'proper' colour there's *something* about red/black that seems 'right'.

Any idea what their basic color schemes are going to be? That could have an effect as well so the symbol would not get 'lost'

But yeah, the yellow with red eyes looks good

They're a pretty mixed bunch, so black is definitely going to be a major part. Tikgnat in the UK TFW discussion thread suggested streamlining the logo more and these were the result:

    [IMG] or [IMG]

I may still stick to the more ornate style for the gang though as Motorcycle club colours are often pretty garish and ornate. All black might still be the way to go in any case.

    EDIT: For reference...

In LOVE with the idea :thumb

Thought about adding Prime Arcee? As a biker chick gone 'bad?

As for all black, can see that. And it might speed things up too.

How are you going to be don't the symbols on them? Printing them out on a sticker sheet?

I'm still on the fence regarding adding a Fembot. I feel it might be tipping into tokenism for tokenism's sake and, as an Eeeeeevil biker gang, I feel they are gonna be sexist as characters themselves (in the same way the Warboys were sort of a representation of a herd mentality form of toxic masculinity) so any fembot is going to be in a stereotypical Moll role.

Arcee, well, for me her bodytype's a bit too stereotypically feminine for my liking lending to the Moll thing (though I briefly considered Flamewar but the Botcon version is too 'spensive and the cyberverse too tiny).
Also thought about the Movie bike Fembots but Evil = Ugly also seemed a bit stereotypical to me.
For now the last member of the gang is some voyager class muscle in the form of an unnamed toy I've bought on import. I'm not naming it yet as I don't like to state stuff until it's a certainty and the delivery could still go awry yet. Fingers crossed.

My intent is to see what kind of sticker decal I can get printed up at a local printshop, hopefully clear vinyl backed will be an option.

    I think that's the way I'm headed.

Get your point regarding Arcee. Makes sense.

I make my own custom stickers printing on a white sticker sheet bought from my local Hobby Lobby. Then just trim them out using a hobby knife. Might not be the way to go with you just going with a symbol decal and those inside spaces would be an issue. Hope that the vinyl idea works. Might be something that consider...

The Fallen's Disciples mystery muscle arrived today!
Formerly known as AM-17 Swerve, after a scribble of red sharpie over his blue goggles and a couple of alternate faction symbols...

Meet COGBREAKER former Polyhexian Pit Fighter, notorious for his physical brutality and ruthlessness in combat, now signed up as the Fallen's Disciples' main Enforcer...and Medic?
Yes, despite his apparently low intelligence, Cogbreaker is in fact a medical savant (no one knows whether he's taken one too many blows to the central processor and this reflects a former, greater intelligence or not) - he's just not very good at medical protocol, he's been known to enact procedures on 'bots without anaesthetics, or even their consent - especially when it comes to the poor saps who end up 'donating' their parts that keep his boss, Immortron-0, functioning. Despite that, he hasn't lost a patient yet ('Donors' however are an entirely different matter).
In his gruesome, often brutal medical practice Cogbreaker is ably assisted by the Mini-Con he 'fixed', the now odious and obsequious Igor-like SAWBOSS. His diamond-hard polymer ceramic bladed buzzsaw mode making him both an ideal tool as well as assistant.

Have this mold too and LOVE IT! I've found that you can put a decal on his chest in the middle where the hood splits. Works great for bot mode and hides it when in alt mode. May have to sand and/or do a little trimming to make sure the panels clear though.

I'm still finding the back end of Truck mode a bit fiddly to align when going from robot to it but I love the muscularity of both modes. Great bit of TF, I'd be tempted to pick up one of the Breakdown versions if they weren't going for astronomical sums at the mo.

Latest version, brought back the eye level spikes, tweaked the central flame 'gutter' so it doesn't get lost at smaller sizes...

Just a suggestion, but what about the Horsemen of The Fallen rather than the Disciples?

That's more like the Real Deal to me rather than wannabes/a megalomaniac using the symbolism towards his own end.

There's been a fork in the design process where I've ended up making a "proper" Fallen faction design (the former) and the more ornate one that leans towards the garishness of Motorcycle Club Colours.
These are the latest version in Full 'club colours' format

    [IMG] or [IMG]

Victory banner reads 'DELAPSUS RESURGAM ' which is 'Fallen, I will rise again' in Latin, and the same phrase in the Decepticon Grafitti font on the second. Could probably afford messing more with the leading and font size on the latter to be honest.

EDIT: Thanks to the keen eyes of a fellow TFW UK threader (cheers, Underord!) I realised the deformation of the text using the Bend/Curve tool didn't quite cut it, new version where it marries a bit better thanks to the Text-to-Path method...

Hopefully, once I've finalised the design and any variants I make of it/them, yeah. I'm going to approach a local print shop this week to check out the possibilities.
