Since both Hasbro and Takara Computron box sets leave something to be desired, I decided to create my own "perfect" Computron - especially since I already have the voyager figure.

Here's my list of projects in Shapeways to be done:

    Computron Face

This replaces the front half of Hasbro Computron's face, giving him a different looking G-1 like helmet and an actual face.

    Status - Done

    Afterburner Head

This is for my own custom afterburner using CW Blades and Gen Chromia. The design is based on IDW "Stormbringer"

    Status - Beta

    Nosecone Head

Two versions designed, the first version is for Hasbro "Brawl" nosecone

it is a drop-in replacement, a bit smaller due to the design of the mold.

Second version is a true Deluxe version for Rook, or Takara nosecone. Since I plan to create my own Nosecone using a spare Rook, I'll be using my own head design - also somewhat based on "Stormbringer" and DW "MTMTE" character profile

    Lightspeed Head
My Lightspeed will be a straight repaint of Wheeljack. Just need to drop on a new head:

    Strafe Head
My Strafe will be based on a spare Air Raid. I liked Hasbro's interpretation a lot, but I would do it with different wing and weapon design.

    Hasbro Nosecone Drill Accessory
    What I call "BFD 2000"

    Others

Man I have a long list to go, here are some thoughts:
    • Weapons
    • Full Rook to Nosecone conversion kit, including cockpit and drill
    • Full conversion kit from Air Raid to Strafe
    • Computron Armors

Yes that is the plan. I am not good with weapons design, but I'll try!

    yay!

do you think heads of the botcon characters are out of the question? maybe make different sets for different molds (i know i'd prefer seaclamp from hotspot, while some wanted cicadacon from cyclonus)

edit: maybe some heads to make the technobots into alternate characters, like CW afterburner into wreck-gar, UW afterburner into a verity carlo homage, a xaaron head for CW nosecone...
and a conehead...head like in the grand galvatron set would be cool too!

edit 2:do you plan on making slippers for prime, galvatronus, and sky reign?

I ordered a copy of your Computron head and swapped out the painted Superion head on my custom not too long ago. Just that one difference completely changed the feel of the combiner. Definitely looking forward to your take on Afterburner!

When you do the full Nosecone kit, is there any chance of an alternative Drillhorn head to go with it?

hey steam! i have another idea you might be interested in....a conversion kit that transformes skydive/air raid into the powerglide/viper/dogfight vehicle! a new, rounded nosecone, new wings, and engines that attach similar to blastoff's. and to go with that, heads for dogfight, overide, and backstreet!

Thanks Steamshield for making these for us fans! CW Strafe really needed his guns and that new head for CW Nosecone makes a big difference than the stock Brawl repainted head!
