My Generations Metroplex recently got knocked over. The fall broke the big red gun that goes on his shoulder: the peg on the gun handle that plugs into the shoulder got sheared off.

I'd like to find a way to glue the peg back on; assuming that I can get the peg out of the hole without damaging it too much, what kind of glue should I use to get the gun handle back in one piece so that it can still be plugged in properly?

I am assuming, of course, that such a repair is even possible. I don't know if it will be possible to stick the peg back on in a way that will allow it to be plugged in and unplugged without having the peg come off again. Would I be better off trying to find a replacement handle?
