So I'm trying my hand at creating my own robot head. From what I've researched there is really two different ways of making them from scratch that doesn't involve casts or molds or pressing an already existing head into something to make a mold.
Im trying the build off of hardened putty with more putty and possibly styrene.
And the other is starting with styrene building off the face, that's in the how to section. Well I guess they're both in the how to section.

Have any of u tried these methods? What are some tips or advice you'd tell a noob at his first go? And as for the neck what are ur favorite methods of connecting ur custome head to the body?

Right now I got four heads, 2 with each method. The putty is hardening and the styrene glue is drying, and I'm about to start with the details of their helmets and whatnot.

Well it's getting late, I gloss coated this starscream I'm working on and tried some styrene face cutting. That was hard. Can't wait to continue in the a.m.
