I got my Combiner Wars Devastator in the mail today and was overall quite impressed. The neon green desperately screams for a paint wash, however, to really bring out the mold detail. I usually default to black for these sorts of things, but I was thinking a shade of brown might actually be more fitting for construction vehicles?

I would love to get you guys' opinions on what color wash would look best. If you have any examples of custom paint jobs for CW Devastator, I would love to see those too!

    Brown mud or reddish rust?

They're construction vehicles. Make em dirty

Black would be a bad idea. For vibrant greens, a good burnt umber wash (reddish brown) makes details pop.

And will look like a red clay mud color. Good idea.

I used this wash color for Warhammer 40K tanks. It really adds a worn look, so I'd imagine the Constructicons would also benefit from the shade.
