Hey all I'm seeking some advice. I've decided to finally get into repainting some figures. I've got a CW Streetwise and began my planning but I'm getting hung up on his lower leg/rear car bits because I can't seem to find a way of separating the two pieces as they are held in by a pin with one visible end. It would sure make things easier to do some light sanding where the hinges meet if I could get it apart.

What do you guys suggest? I've seen some killer paint jobs here so I'm all ears when it comes to getting advice.

    Thanks.

Honestly, when I painted mine, I didn't pop that pin. I primed it with the leg halfway open, then once that was dry, hit that spot again with it closed. Did this a couple of times in varying positions, and it coated the area perfectly. There are also no rub spots to worry about.
The ONLY spot you may want to sand lightly with a needle file is where, when the fender is completely open, it touches the other part of the leg. Basically at the point where the leg won't open any further. If you sand that touch point, you're less likely to get a rub point in the paint.
