Looking to mod Alpha Bravo into Blastoff. The one thing is I need some advice on what wings could be used and where would be a good place to get them. I am not happy with the repaint of Firefly(Fire flight) as Blastoff.
what i used was some wing pieces on this fig File:Cybertrontoy megatron.jpg - Transformers Wiki while it took time to take it apart, it was screwed on with 5mm plugs that i ported onto AB after cutting a bit off for transformation. i've been also thinking of those $10 snaptite model kits that i see at my walmart. i'll try to find a link in a minute. good luck man! edit: found it!!! 2013 Snap Tite Plastic Model Kit Space Shuttle 1 250 Revell 85 1393 SnapTite | eBay
You could use the wings from the upcoming blastoff toy. Just mod them onto AB. They're shuttle-shaped.
you'd have to use an exacto knife to cut it off, then glue it on AB. from what i've seen, you could carve an L shape using the shuttle as the lip, then you could glue it on the weapon ports. thats how i would gowith it.
If you had a spare Classics Astrotrain junker figure you could take the wings from him. Now you have me thinking about a future project.
Here's some advice for an even more G1 BlastOff (with skyward shoulder nosecone) than an AB mod. 1. Get the CW BlastOff and remove its wings. 2. Get a space shuttle kit around the size of the Deluxe. 3. Divide the kit into 4 parts: front (cockpit~nosecone), central section (cockpit~beginning of wings), left booster section (beginning of wings~boosters), right booster section, tailfin. 4. Hollow each piece out and cover BO with the pieces like a shell. The front goes on the nosecone, central section on the torso and arms, booster sections go on legs. Slice off the original tailfin and glue the Shuttle fin in place. 5. Mod for seamless transformation and paint. Hope you like it.
