screws to tight I don't have any pictures but the 2 screws near DOTM Skyhammer refuse to turn. Any ideas on what to do yes i know
If you're trying to remove them: You could keep trying with any number, size, & shape of screwdrivers. Anything to wedge into the screw notch to make it twist out. Or you could dremel the head off & try prying the piece apart. Or you could try heating the head with a soldering iron. Or cry. Or swear your head off.
I've often found that flat head screwdrivers are better than phillips head screwdrivers for removing stuck screws. It's the fact they are flat across the tip instead of tapered towards the middle that helps. They can get down into the corners of the screw where there is more metal and get a better grip. The phillips head will round the corners of the metal at the top of the screw. So even if it's a phillips head screw, find a flat head screwdriver that is as wide as possible but can still fit down in the hole. Then push it in as far and hard as you can while still being able to give it a controlled twist.
If i could upload a pic of his back i would show you Also i am just finding out how to loosen screws that are so tight that they cannot turn
Paint us a picture with your words. Kinda like how a book will describe a scene and we can view it in our heads. Describe what part of Skyhammer the screws are in. What parts do they hold together? Come on man, you can do it!
Ok so where his wings sit in robot mode above that there are 2 screws near his (or they are) shoulders. They are extremely tight and refuse to budge. I might buy AOE drift seeing as there are thousands on the shelves
What are you trying to do? Remove them? Replace them? Loosen them ? Why? Are you going to mod the figure? Or is the joint too tight at the area in question?
I've located what I think are the screws in question on my toy here... I'm not sure what you need help with. If they're too tight on yours, I can only point back to my first post in the thread. Beyond this advice, I don't know how else I can help.
use a good screwdriver with a decent handle, not those pos little thin jewlers ones. those suck and have no grip. get a screwdriver with a better grip and that usually helps. like IG said above, you can also use a flathead [the - shaped one] instead of the + shaped tip. that works better for screws that dont want to move
