This is just a regurgitation of information regarding my overall plans for the Combiner Wars plans first mentioned in my Combiner Wars Crasher/Fracture custom.
    Plans3.png

All official and non-official combiners are to have a total number of seven members in their ranks with one voyager scale figures and six deluxe sized figures.
    * The subject of Afterburner being replaced is due to skepticism of his being released as a deluxe-size limb.

The JETMASTERS are repurposed from the Power Core Combiner of the same name while the PATROLBOTS are of my own creation. The former is created as the antithesis group of jets to the AERIALBOTS, however this group is not officially registered as Decepticons but rather a freelance team that has a known history of working for the Decepticons. The PATROLBOTS are an all-female group of Autobots who center on the subject of law enforcement. Their concept came from the metaphor "Sword and Shield" towards law enforcement, to protect the innocent and punish the guilty. If DEFENSOR is to represent either it is the SHIELD given his name and character habits while he PATROLBOTS characterize the SWORD.

The naming of the PATROLBOTS was tricky to say the least. MAGNA VIGILUS is translated in Latin as "Grand Police". The second half of her name is designed to co-exist along established Transformers Houses such as Ambus. Decimus, Magnus, and Maximus. Other characters utilize basic Transformer terms in order to describe them. HOT TRAIL is derived from 'Hot in the Trail'. DUSTOFF from describing a helicopter's taking flight. DIOPTRA, an alternate term named the Speculum-a, is a tool used to examine the orifices of a person's body. INTEGRA is derived from 'Interrogative'. Characters Lifeline and Parole do not require any explanation. The combined form name of ADVOCATUS is taken from the medieval term for lawyer/advocate.

There are plans for provide limbs Galvatronus however I am uncertain of my approaching the situation. My options range from simply using unnamed Sweeps, characters based of the SEVEN DEADLY SINS or FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APACOLYPSE.

There were more plans considered but have rejected for select reasons.
    DELUXE STUNTICON BLACKJACK
    DELUXE AERIALBOT AIRAZOR (female)
    DECEPTICON SIXWING
    ROAD CAESAR

Recently I've been considering creating an all-female Decepticon combiner. While I have not written down any character names or personalities I have listed a number of theme's this team might represent. That list is:

THIEVES, RELIGIOUS ZEALOTS, CONQUERERS, GYPSYS, and SPIES.

I may develop more ideas in future but that's all I have a present. I final note I wish to declare is that this combiner is not to be seen as the rival/antithesis of the PATROLBOTS.

since decepti-fems are rivaling the patrolbots, maybe they can be a bunch of young rogues that take enjoyment in destroying.maybe Rebelicons(not to be confused with republi-cons)

Hate to burst your bubble but I stated that the Fem-Con combiner was NOT meant to be the rivals of the Patrolbots. I just never found the appeal of the only female characters being rivals because of their gender.

Still, I really like your name for them. Also. :lolol

    Update
    1. Galvatronus Limb Update

Galvatronus will have two seeker/sweep trines from two separate molds. Two of the three will be colored purple while the third, the leader of the group, will be teal/aqua colored. These figures will perform mostly as legs to match Galavtron's color pattern.
As far as lore goes these six are part of Galvatron's cult of Chaos however their leader doesn't even know that such a thing exists. In short - They're fanboys.
    2. Pseudo-Six Wing
This idea is to basically take Superion and make him evil! The only progress with this idea made thus far is using the Gobot Blackbird/Snoop as the torso.

Here's Milne's Firestar compared to CW Silverbolt. Since it's confirmed these new five are NOT the new combiner I've stopped promoting the idea. This is just showcasing what was going through my head before the situation was made clear. Firestar being a jet is odd and the tires obviously debunk that idea but I still saw more Silverbolt than Hot Spot in her design.

You mean the Galvatronus ones? Not yet. Given my local store track record for being behind in stock (we don't even have wave four or five of Generations) I think I'll have the time to get those three Fireflies. Although, in regards to this situation, I think once again AOE is just clogging the shelves.

Well it's been a long time since I've been on this thread. Apologies but Combiner progress has been rather slow and is currently halted until I move to a new house. Onto the update:

    1. Due to concerning budgets I will be unable to make Ruination. This was made with revelation that Galvatronus, who I still do not have limbs for, will require me to buy six additional Blastoff figures. Overall there would just be too much for me to purchase in one wave.

    2. As some may know I have a thread asking for a new color palette to give Offroad so to better differentiate him from Wildrider. With the reveal of Takara's Grand Galvatron I have begun considering replicating the same idea given my displeasure with Breakdown's official mold. The effect of this outcome is finding a new seventh member of the team to replace G1 Breakdown. At present I'm considering Firebreaker from TF: Universe.

    3. Although I am still waiting for confirmation of the remaining Technobots the reveal of the Scattershot mold has made me consider an alternate design. One idea is derived from TF: Universe concept then applying a new head and G1 colors to the Onslaught mold.
    Scattershot.jpg

    4. While I will never be able to make the following idea I do think it may be worth interest so some who read it. For a brief moment I considered making a second female Decepticon combiner. This one would technically be of mixed-gender given that the torso is the only "real" character. Points to those who can tell where the combiner name is from.

Some damn good ideas n there, Rob!! I too have some plans about the Onslaught mold and some of his wave-mates; I was originally planning on doing an entirely snow-camo Ruination, but that idea has changed a bit..

I really like the idea of making the teams larger. Something im doing myself for a project. though i did want to ask. i'm assuming official characters take precedence over OC's? at least within pre established official teams.

If you're referring to getting the original team members first then focusing on the auxiliary crew then yes that is my preferred method.

well i mean there are official team members that can replace your OC's

Heatrock and Skyfeather are actual G1 Protectobots, and granted this one is IDW, but BarrelRoll is an official Arielbot.

Very true. Although using Heatrock and Skyfeather would make sense for the Protectobots I didn't use them because they're more of a torso replacement to Hot Spot. Turning them into legs just didn't sit right with me as I'd keep thinking them as parts from Superion and Computron (if that ever happens). Plus neither don't really mesh well with the original Protectobots given their altmodes and Blackrock's colors don't match the usual red or blue. Given this information even if I did make customs of them I'd probably have just reassigned them to different team(s).

As for the case of why Barrel Roll isn't on the team, in short he didn't fit in with the other Aerialbots color-wise. They're all red and white but he's green. I did see other candidates from the Aerialbots expanded roster and alternate incarnations but either nothing clicked with me or I was just too indecisive. I suppose I could have recolored him to fit the team but then I wouldn't think of it as Barrelroll but as a different character entirely.

Even so, with the exception of Steelwind, none of the characters I've made are even of my own design. Searchlight is just PCC Searchlight with a new backstory and Hosedown is Discharge with a new personality (because I know little about her) and name. So far the only characters I've planned that aren't just reimagined versions are Crackshot, Codec, Corona, Mainframe, and my two female combiners. Either they are of my own design or I took the name because the character had no actual personality.

Another update. So my Xmas haul did contain one figure (Air Raid) I was hoping to get for my female Decepticon Combiner and now my current assembly is as follows:

    Detectibots: 3
    Plundercons: 3

I did notice that in my plans for the Detectibots I gave them three of the same molds. I am adjusting this to use Wheeljack at least once to break up the monotony.

Anyways, I investigated something I noticed with the deluxe hand/feet ports and discovered LEGO Technic pins can fit into the hand ports themselves. So, while not using Hasbro material, I can make both better feet for my combiners and give my custom ones unique weapons. Though now the question is what to give them. The Detectibots/Advicatus could possess a hammer or duel shotguns while the Plundercons/Avaritron possess daggers. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

Now onto a different subject, combiners I won't be making either due to lack of funding or personal skill required. The following was more of a "how I would have done Combiner Wars" but I'll go ahead and mention the ideas here too if anyone is interested.

    * Energon Prime Force using two helicopters (one to retool into a submarine), a standard truck, and a drill tank along with a repurposed Hot Spot into RiD01 Optimus. It's not entirely accurate but this idea I created with a more accurate Masquerade Optimus combiner which would use Prime's original mold.
    * Rodimus Maximus. I somewhat joked on this being Takara's use of Battle Core Optimus along with making Arcee (reuse from Dead End), Wreck-Gar (Takara Groove), Kup (Offroad/Ironhide), and Blurr (Dead End again) limbs. If having to choose a legends figure to accompany this team it would be Wheelie from Blackjack's mold.
    * Combaticons into Seacons. I'm not entirely sure who would get what mold (outside Snaptrap) but I can see most of the molds working as pre-beast mode versions of the team.

Minor update. I recently exposited that if anyone was dissatisfied with Hasbro's combiner feet and did not have the funding for Perfect Effect's upgrade kit then they could create their own feet by using Lego pieces with a few Technic parts for the connection. I uploaded a prototype on the Combiner Wars Appreciation thread where someone asked if forward pivot was possible and thus leading me to redesign the feet with the new system. This new build is still 10x4 standard Lego bricks and from left to right the list is Superion, Defensor, Menasor, Computron, and Victorion (WIP).

I posted on the CW thread. I can't post pictures right now so you'll need to wait
