So when have you had to macgyver a TF to fix something you broke on it, or fix a production flaw, and how did you do it?

    Paperclip.

Literally a pin sheared and a hot piece of paperclip came to the rescue for the repair.

I remember during a fix I had to hold a couple of glued parts together. I tried sitting books on it, a vice and nothing worked. But then the post arrived, so then I used the red rubber band the letters came wrapped in.

I remember the fix, but not the toy...

The pin in the wing of my G1 Powerglide fell out and was lost a few years back.
    How did I replace it?
With the broken tip of a plastic dart (the kind you use with those "childrens" dartboards with all the little holes in it for the darts to stick).

Not sure if that qualifies as "MacGyver'd" but the wing has worked fine ever since :D

Accidently broke one of the antenne on my Universe Treadbolt while trying to transform him (I never remember the side guns are on the helmet and need to be cleared before splitting the nosecone), put a quick scotch tape wrap on it with every intention to glue the piece on later.

It's been five years, tape is still there and I've kind of grown fond of the jury-rigged look honestly.

First I McGrubered MP-09B by breaking both his knees.

Then I macGyvered MP-09B by using epoxy and metal washers as a fix.

They held solid and transformed until I replaced them with the recently released diecast knee joints.

My CW Dragstrip came with a peg that was too wide on the front portion of the car where it slots into the torso, it was stressing the surrounding plastic so I had to file the peg down a little with the file portion of some nail clippers

last night (man i'm so pissed with myself) i broke the wing off of the toon accurate deluxe cyclonus. i was in a rush and wasn't thinking. and bam it snapped off. for now it's glued in place, but i plan on learning how to remove the pin and just replace the joint with the original release cyclonus.

i don't think this is much of a macgyver move.. but with beast fire predaking, i inserted a small piece of plastic in his neck so that his head/neck would stay forward looking straight.

Why yes, yes I do "Macgyver" figures

    Behold!
    Lollipops!!!

Now you are no doubt thinking, "what the hell do lollipops have to do with transformers?", well allow me to present:

The 50 cent deluxe Windblade stability fix!!!

Step 1. Buy an "Original Gourmet" lollipop

    Step 2. Eat said lollipop

Step 3. Insert lollipop stick (or any pole thats roughly 4mm in diameter) in Windblades afterburner, no glue required! And can easily be removed!

Step 4. Cut the stick at the appropriate angle to sit flush with the rest of the foot

Step 5. Take the remainder of the stick and repeat steps 3 and 4 on the other foot

Step 6. Enjoy as Windblade no longer "faints" (falls backwards) at the slightest notice!

Meant to post this a while ago, but forgot until now, any questions feel free to PM me!

If this isn't "Macgyvering" I don't know what is!

I didn't like g2 foc Bruticus' exposed shoulder pegs, so I took the c-clip add-ons from dotm human alliance dragstrip, and clipped them onto Onslaught, to help 'hide' them a little.

These types of fixes are "custom" repairs, and as such this thread belongs here in Creative General Discussion.
