does anyone have an idea of their respective alt modes in "A common foe" or is it just their regular altmodes?

Well, according to tfwiki, They are basically the same depending on if you go Jap or US versions.
If you want suggestions for pre-earth altmodes, mayhaps a submarine tank and cybertronic fighter?

 

actually the wiki is refering to their continuity families not the alt modes.looking at the pics the bodies are too angular to be the original bodies
