Do you HATE the way voyager grimlock holds his mace? Well I did, so i fixed it!!! and now you can too!!! Step one: Cut off the pommel by using an x-acto knife to cut halfway through the shaft from both sides, use the hand stop to guide the blade at the proper angle, and cut from both sides to ensure that you maintain the geometry on the finished cut. Step Two: Choose what you will use as a peg, there are several options as to what you can use, some have disadvantages, but among those that are good candidates are, a paperclip easy to cut and readily obtained but flexable, a pin removed from another figure sturdy but hard to cut cleanly, and what I used, the shaft from the rotor assembly of a dc brush motor after dismantling the core, insanely rigid highly polished heat treated metal if you understood all that you probably already how difficult it is to cut with hand tools, truth be told I was just using what I had on hand after choosing cut it to between 2 and 3 centimeters or use one that is already that length, make a note of the diameter of the chosen material and find a drill that is slightly smaller than that Step Three: using the aforementioned drill, drill the center of both the pommel and shaft half the total length of the peg on each Step Four: insert the peg into the newly drilled holes, and make any necessary adjustments, if done properly friction will hold them fast Done, now you just remove the pommel place the shaft through grimlocks hand and replace the pommel Thank board member UTF for prompting me to post this series of tutorials related to grimlock hope this helps! next time Ill post about a forearm mod, if anyone has a question or requires clarification pm me and Ill try to help last thing, if this isnt posted in the right place i apologize, after reading the posting rules i was still unclear where i needed to post for considered inclusion into the how to board, so if its in the wrong place just let me know where it goes, thanks!
That's not bad. If I did that, I might go further and remove the normal handle that he is supposed to use.
