I will make any TF accessory you want on commission for a Limited Time! Hey guys. Here's the deal, my car is dead and I need to raise money to get it fixed. This is proving tougher than expected, as I sold off a lot of my collection to get BMOG off the ground and those funds are, of course, not available for personal expenses. So I'm trying something new. You want a TF weapon? I'll make it for you. Specifically, I will turn your description, rough sketch or general request into a Shapeways-printable source file. You can see my various Shapeways creations here. You just have to specify what you want and what size handle you need (most TFs use a 5mm peg, legion figures use a 3mm) A basic weapon (mechanical details, no special features) will cost $20. A complex weapon, such as a two-part weapon, parts with printable chains, something with a lot of elaborate surface detail or organic detailing, mini-figures, Targetmaster-style weapons, custom heads, etc, are negotiated on a per-item basis. You get a copy of the 3d-printable file and can order a copy from Shapeways or use another 3d printing service. Printing costs are your own, though I will do everything I can to keep the print as inexpensive as possible unless you request otherwise. I reserve the right to put these designs up in my own Shapeways store, as-is or modified. If you want exclusive rights (such as for making a 3rd party product, selling through your own Shapeways store, or just to maintain exclusivity) we can discuss those terms. I can also make weapons that will fit the hands of most Masters of the Universe Figures (4mm handles) and modern-era G.I. Joes can grip a 3mm peg. If you just want to help out, you can buy something from my shapeways store or grab a $25 collection of all of my digital d20 gaming supplements. (a $114 dollar value) or just kick me a few bucks on paypal to trenttroop (at) gmail (dot) com. Reply to this thread, PM me, or email me (trenttroop (at) gmail (dot) com) if interested.
To show off exactly what you can expect, Strafe from the Allspark commissioned a sniper rifle for 5mm pegs:
I've been wondering for awhile if anyone would take on the challenge of designing an articulated maw for the various Unicron figures. I think this would be relatively a straightforward and widely desirable design to produce. I drew a quick-and-dirty picture to illustrate what I'm thinking. Draft a single wedge piece with a hinge, and then a half-ring with an accompanying six slots to accommodate the hinge. Print out a dozen wedges and four half-rings in orange plastic. Sandwich six of the wedge hinges between two half-rings and repeat for the remaining pieces. You end up with the two halves of an articulated maw for any of the big Unicron figures; ready to affix (whether with glue, pins or screws) to the figure's split planet shell. Bonus points if you can figure out how to have the finished piece clip into place and remain removable.
Anything with a lot of moving parts involves trial-and-error and a lot of development time, so while it's something I could do, the time involved would greatly increase the cost for the digital sculpt. It's something I might consider down the road as an in-house project, but I'm not sure how many people are up for G1nning up old Armada Unicrons. I did come up with something more mainstream, in the form of a Sixshot in gun mode accessory.
I'd like a white blaster for FoC Sideswipe. Artist's choice on the design, I'll even take a white copy of FoC Jazz's handgun.
With enough reference pics and an accurate understanding of how big the peg is, yes. Yes I can. Hit me up on email and we'll get started. Sure thing. Please also hit me up on email. trenttroop (at) gmail (dot) com.
