Parts are roll'n in. I'll get my soldering iron out. There's one more order due to arrive in the next few days. Josh is going to be an even busier man now.

My 'WALLET CRUSHER' version arrived the other day, and it is incredible. The light on button sticks a bit, but i suspect if i used it more, that would eventually no longer be the case. i'm so glad i ordered this, the set really adds a sense of 'completeness' to Megatron, Those waiting for a set, you will not be disappointed by what you get.

 

I am really glad you like the kit.
I sweated on that paint job quite a bit after the 'cluster-fluster' the deluxe/standard kits became.

I am a bit surprised it took so long to reach you though. I am pleased to know customs did not
mess it up.

the replacement parts are on their way to Think Tank. Right now.

 

Got the shipment of parts. A a paintapalooza is on the
docket this weekend for the delayed Batch 1 kits. I am
planning to have the stragglers out the door by the 13th.

Then the Batch 2 kits will be in full swing. The plan is to
have them out the door by the 27th. And then Primus willing
we will be caught up. When all of batch two is shipped out.
I will post the info on Batch 3, which will offer Deluxe and WC
grade kits.

 

Hey Dogimus, (or any one else who has one in hand) got any pics? I'd like to see what the finished product looks like. Other than the 3d prints, & Zildijan's dark energon version, there haven't been a lot of pics of the finished version.

 

I sent some high res shots that were requested by the designers, but they never posted them. If anyone wants to see the final product, just shoot me an email. I'm [email protected]. I have two different colors schemes that I've completed already & I'm working on the third.

Sorry for those pics not being posted. Been busy "riding herd" on the replacement parts.

 

Ok guys..so here are some detailed shots of the Cannon(surface unfinished). I started working on it the day I received it. The last three shot were done for a customs collector. This version was completely wet sanded to give the surface a smooth gloss finish. I ended up sealing it with a flat finish which was requested by the collector. If you want to avoid sanding/wet sanding, I suggest you go with the "Wallet Crusher" edition.

 

Nice job! The weathered silver parts look really good on your custom, very realistic. Thanks for sharing. I assume the first pics are of the wallet crusher as received?
Can't wait to get my first batch deluxe, hopefully sometime next week Thinktank?

 

Keep in mind that I'm working with the "Wallet Crusher Bare-Bones" Kit. I don't mind doing most of the finishing work. Which is why I went with the Bare-Bones option. Getting them as fast as I did is worth doing the dirty work.
