After trying to read it, uncanny xmen, and x-men I promptly dropped about half my subscriptions because the marvel X-books stink, and have stunk for a long time. I should have dropped my uncanny subscription five years ago... |

It's got Wolverine (probably a reason why New Avengers gets the high orders it does, too, along with Spider-Man and Bendis). People usually order the first issue just to see what it's like, then decide if they want to continue reading it or not, and the retailers adjusts future orders.
The only thing that would be surprising is if it continues to outsell New Avengers by... I dunno, #12 or something (assuming it goes for that long). |

That's when Ed Brubaker and Mike Carey take over Uncanny & adjectiveless, respectively.
