Seeing as how some of the other comic book characters are starting to get their own appreciation threads I figured why not give one of the founding founders of the Avengers and often not known too much heroine Wasp AKA Janet van Dyke/Pym?

I've heard of her for some time now but it wasn't until the show Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes that I really got into her. I just love her personalty.   She's honestly someone I'd love to hang out with and in a way it sets her apart from the other Marvle super heroines int hat regard. My favourite designs for her so far are her EMH suit,Current comic look and the recent Marvel Disk Wars anime design.

Wasp is one of the best examples of a best girl. I loved her in Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Hopefully her live action incarnation will be just as great.

 

Almost every time I've read an Avenger's book, it's sadly been during her time of inactivity. Think the most I saw of her was during the re-launch after the whole Onslaught mess.

 

I like the sound of this thread. I read that Rashida Jones is in the running to play the Wasp in soon, and I think she'd be great as her, going by Parks and Rec.

 

I saw the title of this thread in the forums list and clicked on it without noticing which subforum it was in.

I'm a little disappointed?? I think.

 

I like that Wasp's a part of the main cast of the Marvel Disk Wars anime.   She still has her personalty that she's known like in EMH and it's going to fun seeing her interact with her kid partner.

 

i wonder if the role that Evangeline Lilly is being considered for the film is that of Wasp or someone else

My no1 Avenger always loved her even when she went all half woman half fly in the 90s for about half an hour.

 

Is she alive again in the comics? I know she died a few years ago.

I love that cosplay outfit too. Like you I'd love to see something like that for the MCU at least if she doesn't appear in the Ant Man movie.

 

Yes she is alive. Turns out she never died and was stuck in the micronouts universe.

 

Also Pym spent some time using her powers and calling himself the wasp.
