If any of you guys have a tumblr account there's an event that's going this week that's pretty much a Wasp Appreciation event. It's nice she's getting some love and attention there.

So as it been confirmed that Jan is dead in the MCU, how do any fellow Wasp fans feel about this.

me, i am fine with this, i have the belief that the movie studios should be allowed to do whatever changes they want in their films and if they think killing an important character is the right thing for the story to progress then so be it, so i am not bugged, i am not upset. i am fine with it

 

I'm a little sad that Jan's not going to be Wasp in the MCU but if her daughter Hope does become Wasp later on in the MCU and has some of her personalty quirks then I'll at least be cool with that.

After all as much as Black Widow and Gamora are awesome we can't have all of our Marvel heroines be brooding and serious.

 

BTW there's a Twitter group called JanetVanCrime here that talks about Janet being dead in the MCU and it shows that a lot of people don't like it at all.

Janet not being in the MCU is probably the worst thing about the MCU.

Hope better at least capture what Janet's character was at least. Hopefully she'll be so good that i can just pretend she's Janet.  

 

Since I play Marvel Avengers Alliance, I wonder if she'll get a new costume that will also be a new uniform in the game. I'm sure they'll get their costume designers working on it.

Agreed. I hope if she does become Wasp she'll be like her mother.

Somehow I'm getting the feeling that Marvel isn't treating Jan all that well as as how they're not treating poor Hank well either nowadays. I mean I did hear a rumor that someone at Marvel says that he doesn't care for her at all. I might be wrong but it's a shame that she seems to be getting the short end of the stick. I'm glad that she at least has a major role in the Marvel Disk Wars anime.

 

I'd also accept her becoming Giant Girl.

Wasp is a thoroughly misunderstood and tragic character. Wasp was framed for crimes and left to be incarcerated for many years in the stockade. And when Wasp finally escaped, the desire for revenge was so great Wasp couldn't fulfil any of the early potential displayed early on in Wasp's career.
