I usually wait to get the majority of my comics on Sunday, but that image had me grab it from the box today with the figures I was getting.

    Can't wait to read it!

I just read Vader Down #1 and it is awesome. The art is some of the best I've seen on Star Wars since Marvel took over and Vader kicks all kinds of Rebel ass (similar to the Seige of Lothal episode of Rebels). It's pretty fun seeing Vader in his prime. Can't wait until the next chapter.

I thought the Star Wars Annual was quite good -- nice little self-contained spy story.

That is cool, and it's cool that we're finally getting some more new prequel era stuff. I do have one nitpick though. Why does Anakin have the iconic lightsaber that gets passed down to Luke if that is before Attack of the Clones? I thought he got that lightsaber after that movie near the start of The Clone Wars since his lightsaber hilt in that movie gets cut in the factory sequence, and he has the one most associated with him in The Clone Wars series and Revenge of the Sith.

Nah, he had that same lightsaber design at the start of AOTC. As far as I'm aware, it's identical to his replacement and the one that gets passed down.

Would you say that's a good combination of Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christensen?

Actually liking this art. It's more caricature-esque which these kind of adaptions need.

Just read this, and it was pretty good. This scene was the best part of the issue, though. Palpatine, Mace, and Obi-Wan are watching this from an above balcony, and have a interesting exchange.

That's two things I'm excited for. Poe was probably my favorite new character from The Force Awakens, and I look forward to seeing more of him.

The last Obi Wan issue was great, and I think this one should be too. Seriously Disney, please make an Obi Wan Anthology movie.

I just read this one and agree with you, the scene at the Jedi Temple was definitely the best part of the issue. The art for the scenes that take place on the storm planet seemed messy. Hopefully this series will feature a lot more character moments for Anakin and Palpatine.

Sign me up for the Poe Dameron series, I'm very much looking forward to seeing more fiction that takes place in the modern trilogy's era.

I mean, I like Han Solo and Boba Fett and such, but Rogue One and the possible Obi-Wan movies are what's really getting my power converter running.

Yeah, the panels with the ships were confusing -- I had to go over those a few times to understand what was going on.

I was a disapointed in how little we got of Poe in TFA, but since he was meant to die originally, I understand. I'm just glad we're getting more of Poe and the TFA era.

Yes! I'm hoping this is just a sample of what a potential Obi-Wan Anthology movie could be. Make it happen, Disney.

Just read Obi-Wan & Anakin #2 -- the bits with Palpatine and Anakin were the best.

Are the older Dark Horse SW comics any good? I've been enjoying the new Marvel ones quite a bit but I heard someone say they aren't as good. Now I'm curious.

I really enjoyed Tales of the Jedi and Dark Empire, from the early Dark Horse SW. I didn't read much of the later stuff.

I'm working my way through the KOTOR comics right now, and they're pretty good. I find the main character Zayne Carrick pretty relatable, and all the side characters are fun. It ties in well with the games, but you don't have to play them to understand it.
