Kanan #5 is pretty good, a solid ending to the first story arc (and apparently its an ongoing I thought it was just a 5 issue mini series). Some interesting insights into how different clones reacted to Order 66 which clone fans should appreciate.

Star Wars #8. Decent, not as good as past issues
They went with the clingy, angry ex line with Sana Solo, not impressed. I expected better of Jason Aaron honestly. Hopefully he goes somewhere different with it.
Leia was awesome this issue, and Luke trying to be tough guy in a seedy bar was hilarious.

^ Definitely picking that up, thanks!

Personally, my theory is that he infiltrated The First Order and mimicked their red-stripe design scheme to do so. Haven't bought any Marvel Comics Star Wars titles since they stopped publishing them in the mid-80s, but the new stuff looks AWESOME so I can't wait!!!

Been too broke lately to pick up the first wave of collected editions, but I'll snap up this one shot for sure.

Did anyone pick up Shattered Empire today? I'm very curious.

I read it -- it was pretty good. Art was great.

The beginning of the issue takes place during the final moments of the Death Star, and the celebration on Endor. The next morning Han leads his strike force to the far side of Endor to take out a remaining Imperial base and then, to be continued...

    There's a Sergeant
    Dameron
that was part of Han's strike force.

I really want to get Shattered Empire, but I have so much to do for college for the time being that I told myself I wouldn't get into any new comics until I finished some of my backlog or get a break at some point

That Hutt scene in #9. Wow. I had a smile across my face as I recognized
the guard mask, the rebreather, and the grappling hook
. And that was the first few panels.

Holy shit though, that Hutt was fucking SWOLE. I didn't know they could be like that.

That sounds pretty neat. I was always curious about some of the events in between Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

Our first book tackling that which we should never speak of. As someone who's never watched any of the movies and is a big fan of the Clone Wars, count me in. I find Charles Soule is a nice fit as his writing is dialogue heavy but easily grasps you. Then again, he did write the comic that infuriated me the most...

I'll check it out, it's an interesting premise for sure.

I think Chewbacca is going to be the first miniseries I skip, the character isn't very interesting to me and a whole book about his adventures is just...ugh.

It's Duggan (a MASSIVE Star Wars fan) and Noto (someone whose art is consistent and gorgeous). How could you skip something with a team like that?

Am I the only one in love with Skottie Young's variant cover for Chewie?

    God, I adore his art.

I'd buy the fuck out of a Han and Chewie book, but yeah, with just Chewie and whoever that girl is -- not very interesting.

Like ABH said, Chewbacca by himself isn't interesting to me in the least. If it ends up being something super amazing, I'll get the trade, but Chewbacca is like in my personal bottom 10 for Star Wars characters.

So my trade for Kanan came it and wow, I really liked it. I mean really liked it. The sense of pacing was amazing, the book flowed so well. The art feels like its own person but it is a tad jarring seeing the Rebels cast in a more realistic style. I don't know how Order 66 affected the Clones but their discussion after it was executed felt off. I'm glad I bought the trade, the amount of cliffhangers Weisman uses is unhealthy.

Yay, more making the bad guy an unstoppable killing machine that only can get defeated by a DEM.

That is the most badass line I have seen in a while.
