Even more pumped after reading that interview.

I hate when comic companies start talking about all the cool shit that's coming after an event, because I immediately just lose all interest in said event. I like Secret Wars, don't get me wrong, but now I'm ready for it to end to start reading the new stuff and pick back up with series like Ant-Man.

I wish they would wait until near the end of the event before starting the hype, and not start hyping in the middle. Now I'm kind of like "Ugh, Secret Wars, hurry up and end because I want to check out this new in-continuity stuff Marvel is hyping up."

I agree. The teen stuff they are pushing are leaving a lot (not all) of the older fans cold.

Did anyone here read Hopeless' Cable and X-Force run?

Comixology has it on sale, and I wondering if it was any good...

It was building up to something good, but got cancelled due to poor sales.

I liked it however and if it's very cheap then I'd say it's worth a shot.

Oh, that sucks that it got cancelled. Does it at least reach a decent conclusion?

I really liked Remender's UXF, and I realize this is a different beast, but does it compare favorably?

Anyone know if Valkyrie has appeared in anything since her run in Fearless Defenders ended? Aside from a cameo in Thor #8 I haven't seen her in anything I'm reading.

That's why you have to go into the Big 2 super hero comics with a clean slate every time, there's rarely anything groundbreaking. I say go in with knowledge of their history but don't be attached to it. That's also my recent problem, nothing changes. Once everything is resolved everything goes back to square one and Peter Parker is the prime example of that.

Update on the Secret Wars tie-ins that I've been reading:

I picked up Star-Lord & Kitty Pryde #1 and really enjoyed it. That along with A-Force are the two Secret War tie-ins that I've felt have been pretty good stories so far.

I'm giving up on X-Men '92, it really doesn't have any of the fun or nostalgia that the old cartoon had and that I was looking forward to. Instead, it seems like it's putting together a lot of what made 90's comics unreadable.

Runaways has been OK, good enough to keep me interested with it's strong cast of characters. The art is not great though, I especially don't like how they are drawing Molly Hayes. I'm going to check out the next issue, but if it doesn't get better, I may drop it.

Regarding Secret Wars, I'm only reading Ghost Racers and Marvel Zombies. I think the guy who's been writing the new Ghost Rider is average at best, but I've been enjoying Zombies.

Been digging Age of Ultron vs the Zombies. Pretty good to read.

A-Force has been good as well.

Future Imperfect and also Amazing Spiderman have been good as well.

Squadron Sinister gets a dark horse vote for being good, was pretty sure it would suck
