He gave Molecule Man a Sandwich ......yep that's it.

So when Molecule Man and Reed were remaking multiple universes, Miles got added(Along with no longer dead parents of his) to earth prime. Not really explained other than that.

The hilarious thing is Marvel are introducing new characters with the same name for the tumblr crowd, who are already confused enough about what story is important for the main universe with just one version for the main universe.

Steve's new shield is ugly. I guess it's supposed to be a mix between the original shield and his "classic" shield, but I'd rather him just not have a shield, until Sam gives the other one back to him.

Does he have a history in the new universe? Has he always been on the same Earth as the original Spider-Man, or did he just suddenly appear? Does he remember Ultimate Peter, MJ, and Gwen?
    And a sandwich? Really?

Back in the Spider-Men crossover Classic Pete made a google search to see if he could find a main universe counterpart to Miles, he had a shocked reaction.
So far what we've seen Miles has a fully functioning living family in the 616, it could be that his 616 counterpart died or went missing a while ago and he'll take his place.
At the end of Secret Wars it's shown that Miles still remembers everything and 616 Pete knows still knows who he is, he specifically remembers Molecule Man telling him that he owes him one.

As for sandwich, it was a burger, a stale very, very old burger. It makes more sense in the story, but the basic thing is. Molecule Man was starving, but couldn't die, every time we see him he asks someone if they brought him anything to eat, and Miles was the only one to have anything for him. Sure it was a stale, moldy burger, but better than nothing.
He just decided that the small act of kindness by Miles was worth to be repayed by giving him his family back and putting him into the universe of the guy he idolizes.

It's going to be Hope from the Ant-Man movie. Marvel is physically incapable of not mangling comic continuity to match up with the movies.

So Miles would remember being from a universe where everyone, including his family and friends, died. He now lives with people that look like, but aren't, his family. What a mess.

    Yup.
I guess they want him to be a mentally tormented and unstable teen full of angst.

There seems to be another Marvel cataclysm on the horizon, though it seems to be an unofficial one and is limited only to the world of magic:

    Dr Strange
    [IMG]

    Invincible Iron Man
    [IMG]

    Scarlet Witch
    [IMG]

    Hercules

Looks fairly interesting. Keeping an eye on how it all comes together.

This seems to me like another example of Marvel's brilliant synergistic marketing interplay with their Marvel Studios films, just like Civil War II running through comic shops concurrently with Captain America: Civil War running through movie theaters.

Honestly, I think they know they've got a bit of a tough sell with getting general audiences to make the leap from their sci-fi/action formula so far to the (presumably) straight-up, 100% mysticism of Dr. Strange.

So, with that in mind, putting Dr. Strange at the epicenter of a big deal, crossover event like this and putting WAY more focus on him than they generally have in recent years makes pretty good business sense.

Lots of great art up there too, btw! Thanks for the links.

    :)

Jim Lee returns to the X-Men ... for Geoff Johns' birthday present | Robot 6 | The Comics Culture Blog

DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Jim Lee, who rocketed to stardom in the early 1990s with his runs on Marvel’s X-Men comics, has returned to the franchise — if only for a birthday present.

This morning Geoff Johns revealed an illustration of Colossus, a gift from Lee to the DC chief creative officer for his 43rd birthday. The drawing depicts the X-Man in his classic uniform, standing in front of the hammer and sickle symbol; it’s signed “For Tovarish Geoff!” Johns wrote on Instagram that Colossus is his favorite Marvel character.

Pretty cool. And happy birthday Mr Johns.

That's awesome, and really shows that regardless of camp, they're all just comic fans.

It's impossible with his current position, but could you image if Jim really returned to Marvel to draw X-Men again?
