At last an actual explanation for the switch to Cybertronian Alt modes, I want a toy of Tappet, and some intriguing stuff with Prowl. I like it. Good stuff.

Loved it, IDW is on a bit of a roll lately. Metalhawk has been in the IDW-verse for three issues now (Death of OP, MTMTE #1, and this) and I am already looking forward to him getting torn to shreds. He comes off as a shady politician, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him form an alliance of sorts with Ratbat in the near-future. Speaking of Ratbat, Megatron can stay "dead" for all I care, Ratbat is doing a great job of running the 'Cons and it gives me pleasant memories of the Marvel G1 comic.

meh reposting my thoughts from the RID promo images..

Just got home and read it. great start. not as much going on in terms of plot seeds as MTMTE (but bear in mind that was setting the stage for BOTH comics.) good character development on Bee and Prowl im sure will make many people happy. Great artwork IMO.

Theres a 2 headed NAIL on the two page spread early in the book, kind of cool looking.

favorite line- Prowl, Blurr, and Sideswipe interupt Horri-bull and Needlenose beating up Tappet (for doing grafiti lol, love it), Prowl tells them to stop, Needlenose says "Careful Prowl, we dont want to see this escalate and Sideswipe responds "I kinda want to see this escalate." nice that they are bringing back some of his aggressive streak. Also Tappet's paint can was stored in a secret compartment on his chest, pretty cool.

Skywarp seems to have secured a position as Ratbat's second in command, and you can see Acidstorm and another miscelaneous dark-colored seeker standing near Starscream in the decepticon base. No sign of THundercracker. Jazz looks like FOC jazz- so the just confirmed FOC toy will look good if you want to try to represant the comics in your collection.

Sets the stage nicely for issue 2.

Ah, I stand corrected. Then again, it was so hard to tell one character from the other in that series, no wonder he didn't stand out.

It's pretty obvious that Prowl is working with a Decepticon (the one lurking in the shadows), I wonder who it could be.

Or is it obvious...who else could it be, if not a 'Con?

Loved it. Don't think it was as good as MTMTE #1, but it was still damn satisfying.

I kinda assumed it was a certain seeker, but maybe that's too obvious.

Overall I liked the issue. The art was a bit hit and miss for me, with close-ups looking a bit... off. Overall though, solid start. I'll stick with it for now. Good to know we have Autocracy to keep us going between full size releases :)

I also thought it may have been
    Starscream
, but that may have been too obvious.

It doesn't really look anything like him. Only they have in common is that they both have two heads.

bah! I think my local shop stopped carrying TF books... can't find this or MTMTE, and there's not even a little card for "New this Week" where the book WOULD be, as it would if it was sold out

well this was the lesser of the two series this was still a decent read.

Not really loving any of the main characters or the political story line.

Bumblebee is starting to feel alot like Rodimus and not in the good way. I'm disappointed that bb was at least a little bit suspicious of Prowl. Also he got a whole new altmode but still needs a cane?

    We need more sideswipe!!!

    Setting up headmasters???

    I hate RatBat!!

I am thinking that is who it is too. it would certainly, be an interesting combo with those two.

Very good setup in terms for the start of the series. I think he reason why It read different MTMTE (in my mind) is that this book actually dealt with a very volatile issue. There wasn't a sense of or a moment of fun, like there was with MTMTE. But I am intrigued a bit with this book.

Just throwing it out there, but perhaps it's Arcee? The shadowy shape reminded me of hers, plus the mention of being ruthless (though I suppose that could apply to numerous characters) and the yellow eyes.

If not that, then yeah, probably Starscream, however his eyes are red, not yellow.

I pretty sure the shadowy figure is a decepticon, but not sure if it is a seeker since there are no wings in the shadow. I've looked over the panels a few times on my ipad and have a few guesses, but they are just so far out there its almost humorous. Can't wait to find out who it is. I'm liking how they are portraying Prowl's character. The overall comic wasn't as awesome as MTMTE, but still enjoyed it.
