They just went to all the trouble of redesigning Batman for Batman Inc., just to basically go back to what he's been wearing for the last ten years. I don't like Superman's new duds at all. The Flash's costume was great in it's simplicity, now it's overly complicated. Cyborg looks like Liefeld redesigned him. Green Lantern looks unnecessarily cumbersome too. Aside from Aquaman, I'm just not feeling it.

I'm more irritated at the thought of losing some favorite characters (like Tim Drake, Connor Hawke, Conner Kent, Bart Allen, Kyle Rayner). Even if they are just "missing" at the start of this DC will probably take years to bring them back, and I'm just not willing to blindly buy on hope. Geoff Johns favorite phrase seems to be "wait and see" with emphasis on the wait part.

The smarter thing to do would've been to launch an "Ultimate" (or continue the "Earth-1" idea) line and add to it if the initial books do well. There is enough stuff being canceled to make space for it anyhow.

Funny, Hal has no ring in that picture. Just goes to show how rushed DC is in releasing this reboot. Doesn't bod to well for the future IMO.

And yes, a smarter would have been to release an "Earth One" line of comics ala the Ultimateverse.

The scariest part to me, a Justice League drawn by Jim Lee. We'll see six issues over a two year span, fun.

Here's some details on what we can expect to see in September.

Details Emerge On DC's Relaunch - Comic Book Resources

Thankfully, it looks as if Green Lantern will be mostly unaffected. Ditto the characters whose new status quos were set up in Brightest Day. Now I just need some confirmation that Secret Six is safe, and I'm all clear!

Grant Morrison on Superman. Wow. SO in the aftermath of Blackest Night, you know with death being dead, when this title tanks how will they bring it back? The white ring can only do so much. :lol

I read somewhere that Johns and Lee have actually been working on this book for a significant period of time prior to the announcement, and have at least six issues all ready to go already. I may be wrong, however, and will edit this post if I find the article that stated this.

Morrison wrote All-Star Superman, right? Aside from possible schedule slips, I expect great things, myself.

I know, right? I'm just praying for Secret Six to be still helmed by her.

According to Gail's Facebook, she's been working on some kind of secret project with Ethan Van Sciver, so that may be why she's no longer writing BOP. A lot of people have speculated that it's some kind of Marvel Family Rebirth book, which would certainly be welcome, given their current state of affairs.

I'd like to see her take the helm on Wonder Woman again, and while we're about that, could someone please bring the team of Justin Gray, Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner back to Power Girl......pretty please with sugar on top.

If there is no Kyle Rayner, I'm out. He's the reason I started and still read GL to this day.

They won't. Amanda loved the book but can't do a monthly book schedule. And writing by Jim and Justin wouldn't be the same without her art

That's a bloody shame, and I agree, there was a case where the artwork and the writing complimented each other. C'est la vie I guess.

I gather by the larger pic that Teen Titans and/or Young Justice is getting the sweeping brush too, that right?

This reboot might help get me back into comics. Most especially Green Lantern comics. Kyle Rayner was really the character that got me into them in the first place, so I hope he's worked in to at least some extent. Though I'll have to search for a new comic book store to go to. The one me and my cousin used to go to as a kid has been closed for a while now.

Looking at the full costume image, I'll be surprised if Flash, GL and Batman aren't back in their original designs fairly quickly, since the only changes appear to be minor tweaks and extra lines that artists will probably just get sloppy and forget. Aquaman doesn't look much different either. I still like the new WW and Superman outfits. While Cyborg did need a new design, that one just isn't working for me, especially the huge chin.

Reading over the additional info, glad to hear that GL is going to be continuing along its current trajectory and hopefully GLC and Emerald Warrior will survive the transition, as well. Be interesting to see, if the title(s) are still feeling effects of Blackest Night, how much of what happened in the previous issues is still in-continuity and what isn't.

This, completely. The spectrum Corps are one of the major reasons I've kept up with the GL books as long as I have. There have been some snags along the way, but they've brought quite a bit to the GL universe that deserves to be explored more. Dropping the spectrum Corps concept would be just as likely to make me drop the GL titles as getting rid of Guy or Kyle.

    Well I'm excited about this.

I've been wanting to get back in to the DC universe for years, but have had no idea where to jump in...theres a whole lot of titles and continuity going on. The reboot is EXACTLY what I need.

And what excited me even more is the digital distribution. I always said the comics that I can get day and date with the paper issues will get my money! (almost kinda wondering with app subscriptions, if DC can set up an all in 1 subscription model for the new titles)

No offense, but I hear this complaint a lot about DC and I don't get this at all. I've been reading comics for a long time and I have yet to read any comic, even when the title or character is new to me, that I couldn't enjoy at face value (assuming I liked the story, art, etc.) and figure out what I needed to know about the backstory. Plus, the title pages of every book give the reader a synopsis of who the title character is and what they stand for. Everybody knows who Superman is. Everyone knows who Batman is. The Justice Society is the old generation training the new. Green Lantern is a space cop. The Flash is the fastest man alive. These are comic books. Just jump in with both feet and enjoy the ride.

Here's hoping they drop the prices, maybe they can make the paper less glossy, save that for the trade collections, that way casual fans can go pick up single issues and try stuff out first.

The sad thing about some comics is that even though they're great, costs and limits of distribution make it hard for certain people to access, so they get cancelled. The lower price and higher distribution network would give fairer chance to these type of comics.

Man, I'd kill to see them back on that book.

Specifically, I'd kill Judd Winick for it. :p

While I enjoy the idea of Cyborg being a League member very much (having grown up with the character in a really interesting place and seen him do a lot of maturing), why the HELL does he have a Leno chin?

A lot of these redesigns are missing, not hitting.
