Deathstroke must be selling really well... that or my LCS didn't order a lot of the newest issue, as by the time I got there today they were already sold out. I really need to get around to starting a pull list there. Though till then I'll just order the next couple of issues from Midtown.

Spoilers for Justice League 42, I don't feel like digging out the issue to get exact details so I'll give a brief synopsis.

Metron won't give the answers the League needs about... I want to say the Anti-Monitor, Wonder Woman lassos him to get the truth but Metron is still not really saying anything, someone (can't remember who) says Metron isn't the source of all knowledge, but rather the chair is, so Wonder Woman pulls him off so one of them can sit on it. The chair is about to boom tube, Batman jumps on it since he's the closest one, becomes the new source, end of the issue.

Technically, I think it was already shown during the FCBD issue, they hinted at it.

Great, so DC is pretty much admitting that Batman is a god.

Yep. The tease on the last page reads "Next: The Bat-God" -- it's interesting to see that fan-label actually make it's way into an actual comic.

The more I see it, the more I think the plot of Future´s End one shot of Sinestro will come to pass. At least two of the things foretold in that comic happened. The fact that Soranik now is one of the Sinestro Corps members and the fact that Parallax is now chained to the reactor of the planet.

Finally got around to reading last month's issue of Deathstroke. Both the writin and art for this title is amazing. I still might get the Convergence issue that has the short story in it for this, but I don't get the feeling that it's necesary to understand what's going on.

I wasn't expecting anything, but it was nice to see Slade going back to his daughter to try and get back in-touch with both her and Joseph. I'm loving the family aspect to this run of Deathstroke. Relationships of any kind in comics tend not to work out for the best, but I can't help but hope that Slade is able to reconcile with at least one of his kids.

I'm really looking forward to this next issue with Wonder Woman and the first Annual. Just gotta wait for my order from Midtown to come in. I'm loving Tony's art for Wonder Woman. Especially the page of her at the end of June's issue.

Don't know if you know, but all the previews are available online for free. DC put them out awhile ago.

Did not know that, thank you. I'll have to check that out. That said, I still might get the physical copy just for completeness sake. My LCS might even have a copy of it still. I was there brefely this past Thursday and they still had a rack of Convergence #2's for sale.

I'd been thinking about this a lot. I don't want to start a flame thing here... But I really don't like this decision to make it canon.

Let's ignore Harley a bit, and realize... Poison Ivy is in a relationship with a human. A dirty, filthy human she could consider destroying her previous plants. Poison Ivy only cares about plants, they're her life, THAT'S her number 1 love, not some worthless, destructive human, regardless of gender.

IF Poison Ivy did go into a relationship with Harley, she's not Poison Ivy anymore. That destroys the character entirely. And it's not even something that adds to her, it just weakens her. Poison Ivy doesn't need any human, she doesn't want any human. She'll use them, but that's how she sees them, as toys. Harley MAY BE a friend, but if it's Harley or plants, Poison Ivy's going plant.

And it COULD be said they're trying to appeal to minorities... But there are now three presumably bisexual female villains in Batman's rogues gallery. Also, they're three of the most sexualized villains, as well. Which makes me think they're not trying to relate to minorities, but rather are going with the option that will get more heterosexual male readers. Or maybe they're just killing two birds with one stone. Either way... It's treated like bisexuality's just another thing that makes three chicks even more sexually appealing.

But...maybe I'm just talking about stuff I shouldn't and I offended millions of people. In which case, I apologize, I'm just really wondering if DC sees bisexuals as some magic wand that brings them more money. I don't like to think that, I love the DC universe...but I do wonder...

    Eh, it's nu-52 stuff.
I'm just ignoring it at this point.
The only DC comic I'll be buying is the upcoming Lois and Clark book. At least the characters will be recognizable.

I laughed but the ads weren't nearly that obtrusive, imo. It's not like they actually cut out panels or something. After awhile I just kind of ignored them.

But yea, I got so sick of seeing Nick Lachey's face and that stupid left twix / right twix crap. That's my biggest complaint, seeing the same ad over and over and over again.

To be fair in BTAS Ivy actually did express wanting a family of her own albeit in a demented manner and meant it so if you think about it Ivy wanting to have some romantic partner human or otherwise isn't that far off since there are moments where her old self did pop up. I mean yeah BTAS is a different universe then the current comics but still it's not like this is the first time she did express legit romance.

I read digitally thru Comixology, so I never see ads at all, but I thought this was a fun little video... and perhaps a glimpse into DC's future.

I also think it gives her depth instead of being out of character. Yes she hates human, but not all of them and one human she really knows and actually loves, that makes her much less of a 2d villain.

There is something to be said about DC making some of the more sexualized villains bisexual and also mostly women. I know Gail Simone said its easier to introduce diversity into villains because there are more of them and apart from some of the major ones they are much more freely changed but it is still a bit dodgy that they are mostly women and mostly sexualized. I'm not complaining yet but they do need to start balancing it with some guys.

Just read both Deathstroke #8 and the Annual, and like the seven issues that came before, I'm absolutely loved them. Slade is still awesome, and Wonder Woman was handeled wonderfully. Though I'm definitely behind on this Wonder Woman's story, as I didn't know she was the Queen or the God of War...

Rose and Jericho continuing to be an important part of Slade's story is a really nice aspect of this run of Deathstroke comics. I kinda hope they find a way to bring in his ex-wife, Grant, and Wintergreen. Though it's been a while since I read Deathstroke vol. 2, so I don't quite remember how things ended for Slade's ex-wife and Grant... I also don't remember if they ever introduced Wintergreen in those twenty issues.

Only two more issues and this "God Killer" story arc will be finished. Should be interesting to see how things wrap-up and transition into the next arc. I'm curious to see how Slade's and Harley's next encounter goes.
