Nice! I havent read any full issues yet, but from what Ive seen so far on this website in terms of the issues, I just might have to buy myself the Trade paperback when it comes out over here in Ireland. Also, first reply!

 

Seriously these faces again?!?

 

looks good like faces look more robot looking i hate humans in trasnfromers storys they think simple gun is going to protect them agains giant robot

 

I was excited to get back into it with the artwork since 7 and Roche did an excellent job on the last issue.

seeing those faces made me just want to give up on it again. Why can't they do the faces how they did in the last story arc? so inexpressive and ugly.

Idw can't seriously think that after the praise wreckers got for story and art style that this is the kind of facial design those reading the comic actually want.

 

I love how not using proper punctuation makes a post like this read as if the person is paranoid or mad  

Apparently the gun does protect them from a giant robot. Did you not see the hole he shot through Bumblebee?

The tweaks to the art are for the better so I can deal with it, just make sure the story is on point. The last panel looks like Blitzwing(yes!) rescuing a offline constructicon. Hmmm...I smell a heavy combiner contribution coming back to this book. Under Megatron you know he's gonna hit the Auto's and the fleshies real hard. Bring on the broken bones and twisted metal con style baby!

 

man I just wish that Transformers prime would have used this designs instead of the animated ones.

 

Which brings up the question as to whats the point of having Giant power robots on earth if some random human could just order a gun on ebay and kill him???

IDW needs a change, before I'll spend mine...

 

Who says that the guy had an ordinary gun? I wouldn't necessarily jump to that conclusion. There's far more to the story in this issue than the previews show.

 

Even so, why anyone would assume that the guy used a normal gun is really weird considering we KNOW that Skywatch was reverse-engineering cybertronian weaponry and tech thanks to Shockwave.

 

All do respect to the great draftsmanship, but the bot faces are still UGLY AS SHIT. Design Fail still in progress.

Please make my robots heroic and appealing and not like demonic metal monsters! :-( Otherwise I will not buy these books.

 

I think you're misunderstanding my point here.

The gun doesn't matter. The problem is these annoying humans that nobody cares about constantly disrespecting what should be more advanced and more powerful alien race.

Now every random human they encounter wether it's a group or individual has G.I. Joe status tech (which still shouldn't be a match for a Cybertronian)

But I digress.

You have about a 1000 Transformers with good potential stories and all this author can come up with is Autobots running and hidding from humans like they're Smurfs of something.

And that's where I feel this book fails.

 

Too much focus on humans in these comics is always a turn off.

It is good that Don is back on the art, as Guidi's run was disappointing ( not up to the quality of his previous artwork).

Don's new designs just look right, as alien robots should look. So what if some of the characters are ugly? Those who insist that every character should be beautiful or attractive, would be better off buying Playboy.

 

As said previously by others, why are we going back to this artwork. Do IDW not check forums? Do they not realise this look overall tends to be unpopular. I wish they would just keep to one style of art, rather than chop and change all the time.

 

Obviously the sales outweigh the the people who complain about it, i think the the two big bad points bout this style were changed first the "teeth" and now the Eyes, Don changed them from the movie style eyes to the normal Polygon optics, well that was my biggest gripe about the style

 

I don't want to say too much without spoiling the issue, but there's more to the story than just a random joe with "G.I. Joe" level tech. Having read the whole issue, it's all pieces to a plan. I'll talk more about it tomorrow when I can do so without completely spoiling people ahead of the release, but what's happening does make some sense.

 

I figured as Much, but then again someone getting a crazy piece of weaponry off the internet isn't too crazy anymore, were do you think people get the materials to make bombs, not to mention over at seibertron.com the 5 page preview said the gun was illegal

 

The story isn't that bad right now.

I'm not happy with the way Bumblebee was taken down but it's no worse then how Spike took down Scrapper in issue 8.That was SUPER LAME!!!!!

I won't say anything on the art work except I'm not happy with it.

My biggest complaint though is with the direction they're going with Megatrons look.Why in the hell are they making him look like a cross between WFC and Animated.He doesn't even really fit in with the rest of the Transformers now.He looks so out of place it's just not right.
