    wtf

i am wroung but, how can hot rod be rodimus prime with out a matrix?

considering that every transformers story starts fresh, "i.e the whole 1986 transformers movie never happened." then optimus never died and hot rod never became a prime.? am i right? i dont get it? how the hell can he even get a "prime" name without even touching the matrix?

thats like calling joe biden a president when obama is on vacation? its like wtf man he is only on vacation, he will be back, your not president dummy!

anyways, i like the whole series and i think when mike costa said this series was going into a new direction but couldn't say what it was. it must be the fact about hot rod/prime thing. just my thoughts.

A shift in story telling? Three issues in? I'd say that I hope these guys know what they're doing, but when they start changing course three issues into the ongoing, which changes course from Coda (prowl), which changed course from AHM, which changed course from -ation...

In fairness I have liked their more recent stuff, and have been satisfied with they way they try to keep things relatively consistent. They just make me nervous. It seems they're always on the brink of disaster.

It's hard to believe that a comic company can make me disinterested in a book about my all time favorite franchise, but they've done it.

Oh...Dreamwave...why did you have to crap the bed? I loved those books.

Looking forward to reading this. I'm glad it focuses on TC and is like a spotlight for him. It just goes to show that the upcoming Prowl spotlight could've been incorporated into the main storyline instead of having to buy a separate issue.

Don't jump the gun bro. It's obviously just a nick name the Cons came up with for him. Seeing Optimus is gone and so is the Matrix, he standing up to be the "leader" everyone needs.

I for one like him being Rodimus Prime w/o the Matrix, Unless Optimus dies for good and never comes back in the IDW series, which I don't see happening. This is the best way to bring Rodimus Prime into the story.

I've read both Dreamwave's and IDW and I have to say I like IDW better despite all their mess-ups.

    Not even remotely close.

Seriously though.....who the fuck is that?

As for the "Rodimus Prime" thing, though I didn't read the issue, I like how they're intergrating it into the IDWverse. It's not official. It's self-appointed.

On another website, someone said Drag Strip.

I wonder where Megs is in all of this.

Drag Strip would make sense seeing as you could make out a slight spoiler-looking thing on his back.

As for Megs. Remember, he's still in space and half-dead the last time we saw him.

    Again, not even close.

It's Sandstorm. He has that back-of-the-head propeller. Plus, he was listed as being among Hot Rod's crew in an earlier issue.

This seems like the best choice. Dragstrip's new design has a visor, his 4 front wheels on his forearms and his rear wheels on his feet I believe; this bot has wheels in his shoulders and eye panels.

Drag Strip's head is usually purple too, right?

Really looking forward to Triple TF Comics tomorrow, after last week's snowstorm shipping troubles.

Sucks when the artwork is at a point where you can't even frigging identify a G1 character in a G1 Transformers comic book.

Like the ballsy Hot Rod, though.

I agree it's Dragstrip. It makes sense since Ultra Magnus is ignoring him, adressing the other two, but ignoring the decepticon.

I can say with absolute certainty, it's not Dragstrip. Dragstrip appeared in issue 2 with a modified version of his Universe design with wheels on his forearms.
