(I should disclaimer, some, if not most of my suggestions are scanlation only ATM)(everything I've read PaladinVance's Manga List - MyAnimeList.net)
Argueably my favorite manga is Bitter Virgin, ending did feel rushed, buuuut.
Spicy Pink's a decent josei read..
anything by Seo Kouji (Suzuka, Kimi no Iru Machi, Princess Lucia)
I mentioned Love Attack! in another thread, and can recommend it safely knowing it didn't get dropped
Dance in the Vampire Bund - loli vampire = SOLD! cannot wait for the anime...

High School of the Dead. It plays out as a cross between a slice of life school anime at first. Then the zombies show up, and it's all about what people are willing to do in a world where humans are fast dying out at the hands of "them" (since they never actually call them Zombies)
Gets gruesome at some points, fanservicey at others, but it's pretty interesting overall. Just a pity that the publication on the series stopped, and on a Dawn of the Dead inspired cliffhanger to boot. Quote: |

I've been reading the Bleach manga lately. Way better than the show.

Family friendly and hilarious with great characters.Side note though, when Kiyohiko Azuma was a young manga artist/writer he did hentai.Kinda funny.
Also, I love Read or Die and the sequel Read or Dream.Very and cool.
And I kinda dug Pretty Face.Yeah yeah, it wasnt super compelling but I bought all 5 volumes anyway.
I really dig yuri too so if I had to pick the best ive read i'd go with Iono Sama Fanatics for funny and Tetragrammaton Labyrinth for dark and bloody.
And for something a little pornagraphic (okay a lot pornagraphic) Maka Maka is surprisingly sexy and well written for something thats all together lesbian porn.I really dig the characters and theyr relationship, more so than I liked the porn aspect. Quote:
