I just don't care. In general, with Transformers, I just kinda figure certain elements will be borrowed, for fun, in order to tell a neat story. If bits and pieces of "The War Within" influence the IDW series, then cool, whatevs.

Pretty much what Ops said. I stopped caring about how to fit the continuities together a long time ago.

Michael Bay may not have raped my childhood, but I think he may have molested it.

It's a Transformers comic so therefore has absolutely no sense of continuity whatsoever. Which has always been part of the fun, arguing with other fans other what is canonical and what isn't. I don't think any two Transfans agree on a single continuity, we make our own as we go.

I do wish IDW would finish Vol. 3 of WWI. I hate having just those 3 issues.

IDW's TF stuff has continuity? Seriously, though, no.

I don't even read much of the comics nowadays, since the continuity seems to be quite a mess...

I love both War Within minis, but they don't really fit the tone or history of the IDW continuity as we've seen it so far. Most of Dreamwave's TF fiction seemed geared to fit around the original cartoon, whereas IDW has gone their own route. I can't see the War Within taking place in the same universe as the one where the Ark-1 was launched into space with Nova Prime and Galvatron aboard.

Shane's Comics - Four years and 500,000+ page views... I'll quit one of these days.
