Amanda Conner did that Supergirl story in "Wednesday Comics", no? That artwork was amazing.

Anyhoo:

Walt Simonson
Gurihiru
Frank Quitely
Ted McKeever
Charles Burns
Stuart Immonen
Bryan Hitch
George Perez
Jaime and Berto Hernandez
Geoff Senior
Steve Ditko
Gil Kane
and of course Jack Kirby
and others that I feel like a jerk for not thinking of.

Never understood the appeal of Bagely or Lee, but that's probably just me.
Ah, the daily dose of Spiderus Prime. It does a body good.

I saw Immonens work for that funny marvel group book and thought, hmm, this is nice. Then I picked up Supes Secret Identity and was like, whoa! He can draw like this, too?

That she did.

As for Bagley, I love his stuff because it just looks like realistic comic art. Similar to Patrick Zircher. It's not overly dark, light, gritty, basic, anything. it's just what people would look like in an animated/comic world. Lee is just detailed and gritty. His characters just pop off the page, no matter what. I never got the shock appeal but he does have good stuff overall.

I'm surprised that only one other mentioned Ed Benes, esp. since the original poster was interested in artists that know how to draw sexy women!

Behold: sexy women courtesy of Mr. Benes!

I really with I could get some of his original art. he probably draws the best "normal" women in comics freehandedly.

In my opinion, Ivan Reis is the best there is right now.

I dunno know guys. Benes draws women kinda like Turner and Jim Lee except those guys don't draw them em like drag queens, heheh.

Just throwing some names: Brian Windsor Smith, Michael Golden, Alan Davis.

I would say Joe Madureira, but he don't do shit no more.

And I say this with all respect to the dearly departed, but I never really found Michael Turner's women all that attractive. Their faces looked like strung-out drug addicts and apparently ladies in his mind have neither hips nor rib cages.

Just my two cents.

^ What if he drew them with Transformers parts hanging of their body? This would in fact hide the missing hips and rib cage, no? Convenient!
