Anyhoo:
Walt Simonson
Gurihiru
Frank Quitely
Ted McKeever
Charles Burns
Stuart Immonen
Bryan Hitch
George Perez
Jaime and Berto Hernandez
Geoff Senior
Steve Ditko
Gil Kane
and of course Jack Kirby
and others that I feel like a jerk for not thinking of.
Never understood the appeal of Bagely or Lee, but that's probably just me. Ah, the daily dose of Spiderus Prime. It does a body good. |

As for Bagley, I love his stuff because it just looks like realistic comic art. Similar to Patrick Zircher. It's not overly dark, light, gritty, basic, anything. it's just what people would look like in an animated/comic world. Lee is just detailed and gritty. His characters just pop off the page, no matter what. I never got the shock appeal but he does have good stuff overall. |

Behold: sexy women courtesy of Mr. Benes! |

Behold: sexy women courtesy of Mr. Benes! | I really with I could get some of his original art. he probably draws the best "normal" women in comics freehandedly. |

And I say this with all respect to the dearly departed, but I never really found Michael Turner's women all that attractive. Their faces looked like strung-out drug addicts and apparently ladies in his mind have neither hips nor rib cages.
Just my two cents. |
