I think that Furman was guilty of staging too many tricks at once, but then IDW is just as guilty for closing his magic act before he could finish.
I have every issue of IDW Transformers and I have no idea exactly what role Senator Holt had, nor do I feel like Ore-13\Super Energon really had any impact on the Transformers at all.
But, we have gone from Furman introducing over twenty concepts over a dozen issues to McCarthy beating us over the head with two concepts a dozen issues.
And as far as humans go, I much prefer Verity, Hunter, and Jimmy to GI Joe, Codename: Spike. |

I'm like a year behind. I take care of people who jump out of planes and kill foreigners for a living. I have the best job in the world. Feedback here! Criminals are HOT. DO YOU LOVE SPIDERUS PRIME? |

I'm like a year behind. | I'm completely caught up and I don't know.
They went through an "Orbital Bounce" and in one panel Ratchet was like "Oh noes, the frail fleshies couldn't take it and have gotten dead. Maybe I can do something for them" and they have not been seen since. Not even mentioned. |

Yeah, squeezed ‘em in. | Sounds good to me. Sorta.
Fake Edit - That's in reference to the Maximum Dinobots 5. |

I really enjoyed the two panels where we saw the 3 kids again. I got the feeling that Furman just threw his hands up, decided "**** it all," and randomly inserted the kids' reunion. I also got the feeling that we'll never hear from Jimmy or Verity ever again. Ah well.
Anyone remember the "deleted scene" Nick Roche did for Devastation? It was pretty hilarious. Some people on the IDW boards complained about Ironhide being saved off-panel in Devastation. After pages and pages of complaints, Nick showed us a "deleted scene" from Devastation #6. It was a quick two-panel artwork, and while it had the Nick Roche style, it looked like he drew it in 10 minutes.
The first panel had Ironhide walking out of a CR chamber, and someone (forgot who, could've been Hot Rod) asks, "How are you?" Panel 2 shows Ironhide winking with a thumbs-up, and he says, "A-OK!"
Seeing Jimmy and Verity again reminded me of that. STILL, it's more than I've come to expect from TF comics nowadays.
Edit: Found it.
