I'm really excited for this. The book that really got me into DC a few years back was the opening JSA Classified arc, which solved the whole PeeGee origin mystery once and for all. I absolutely fell in love with the character (love that combo of brash and bold on the outside, sad and lonely underneath... and the boobs, gotta love the boobs) and I've wanted to see Amanda Conner illustrate a monthly Power Girl book ever since. I can't wait for this.  |

But of all the stories/scenes I've read with Power Girl, I can thing of...two, maybe three that don't make some kind of reference to her Power Chest. It sorta takes me out of the story after a certain point, and now I almost dread her showing up.
Seriously, why is so much emphasis put on Power Girl's breasts? She's hardly the only over-sized heronie out there, and her costume is down right modest compared to some others.
In any case, she does have great character potnetial. I hope this book takes advantage of that.

I started DCU with JSA Classified and absolutely fell in love with PG. LOVING that Amanda Conner is on an ongoing, and that it's starting PG! | |

I reserve complete judgement because though I love Jimmy and Justin as pals, sometimes their writing is off. Hawkman was fantastic but Twighlight Experiment was bad. Heroes for Hire was good, Friday the 13th wasn't. It's off and on. Hopefully this will be on. And I love Amanda to death so I'm glad she got the art duties | |
