Where do you usually obtain your comic books from?

This might sound like a silly question, but how and where do people in the US buy their comic books?

I will be moving to the California from Germany at some point during this year and I am wondering how to easily obtain my comic books over there (mostly TF related). Currently, I use a reseller in the UK that imports several comic series, bundles my issues each month and sends them to me. I find this extremely convenient compared to going to some comic shop every week. I assume there are similar services available in the US as well?

I know, I could subscribe to digitial comics, but that is not really the same as physical comic books.

Comic shops are all over the place. Especially in California. You can also get the digitally at Comixology.

Yeah, IDW's Headquarters is San Diego, and soon both Marvel and DC will move their offices to CA, so if you have trouble finding a place to buy comics, then there is something really, really wrong. You can always use this website Comic Shop Locator and input your new area code, to see what's near you.

I've already gone all digital with Comixology, but it's not for everyone.

For pure value, especially if you have a large reading list.

    https://www.dcbservice.com/

Never had a problem with them and every issue sent was in NM condition.

If you're a trade type of person try Cheapgraphicnovels.com and Instocktrades.com

Where in California? That will have a lot to do with how easily you'll find a shop.

But I will agree with the above posts about both DCBS and Comixology.

California is a pretty big place and I've lived in just about every area in California, let me know where it is in California you are moving to and I'll get you a list of good comic book stores

Thank you for all of the kind answers. I fear that I didn't specify my question well enough, though. While a comic book store would be fine as a second best solution, I'd love to retain some supplier that bundles my monthly comics and sends them directly to my place. Oh, and Comixology is for digital comics only or do they also sell physical stuff?

I usually get them digitally, but I get my physical copies from Barnes and Noble and a friend of mine who is a collector.

No comic shops around here in my local area.
For the longest time you could buy mangas from various stores, but they stopped the translations a while back due to drastic decrease in sales.
So I have to resort to online shopping.
Amazon, ebay, archonia, small handful of online stores from around Denmark.
Transformers comics I can get through NTFA.

    midtowncomics.com

They have a subscription service so long as you have 10 or more titles.

They are very easy to deal with.

Hi there I've talked to him via PM and he is moving to the Silicon Area (San Jose) and I used to live there and am giving him a couple names of comic book stores that can bundle his comics monthly and order stuff by mail (what he wants)
If anyone else knows of comic book stores in that area please feel free to mention them I am currently blanking on my favorite one but it is on Winchester Blvd.

Thank you again for all the help. And @smkspy, sorry that I overlooked your link. I think, I opened it briefly and thought it was only for digital comics.

No, it's a bundle service. You're basically making your order from the Previews catalog three months ahead. Great thing though is that you can get not only single issues, but trades and figures as well.
