Have not read anything Spider-Verse so far, but this seems fun and I love the costume.
After Miles Morales, Marvel's killing it with the alternate universe Spideys.

Sorry, I get where you're coming from but this is kind of a weird statement to make concerning superhero outfits. Basically, not even close to 1% of superhero costumes (all of them) would be anywhere near practical in real life. As Chrono Grimlock points out, Spider-Man (or -Woman) would actually be affected less by such constraints because of the spider-sense :thumb

Uncle Ben is alive! Wow all the little twist and approach to Spider-Gwen really has me interested in this version of Spider-Man's mythology.

    Zombie Thread.

I'm reading Spider-Gwen via the trades, and we're up to volume 2 now. Anyway I have no idea about the character prior to the trades (ie, I have no idea of the Spider-verse or whatever it was) but I'm still enjoying this a lot!

My only concern is I'm enjoying this in the same way I enjoyed Ultimate Spider-man... and we all know how that ended.

This is a bit different. Ultimate Spider-man was a modern take on a classic character to try to update Peter Parker for new readers without having to do a reboot... which in theory works great, but after issue 1, there was no real good jump on point and his story was getting more and more complicated when the original plan was to have a clean slate.

Spider-Gwen is her own thing. Yes, she's a spider person, but she's an alternate version of a character that died decades ago real world time, so it makes things a bit easier to keep going without the whole "Okay, how do we keep THIS Peter Parker fresh, different, but also the same as the CLASSIC Peter Parker?!" Here, to keep Gwen different from the classic version, all they gotta do is keep her alive and interesting.

While i absolutely love Spider-Gwen the character (and her interactions with Silk and Spider-Woman from the main Marvel Universe), 98% of the supporting characters I absolutely haaaaaaate.
