Let me be the first to say "DUNN. DUNN. DUNN!!!"
*ducks tomato*
Seriously though, I thought the name "Spike" wasn't going to be used in the film.

Oh that guy... 'kay, that should work.
Stick a hard had and yellow boots on him and he would make an acceptable Sparkplug.
That should be pretty much all the human casting now shouldn't it? I mean, if there are any more there wont be enough screen time for the robots...

I like him. He pretty much had a similar role in Small Solders. This can work.

Good choice. But I don't mind if his character's name is not Sparkplug, after all that's a weird name. :D

Good choice for Sparkplug, I think. LOL I knew he looked familiar! I just saw the Seinfeld episode with him in it a couple of days ago. Classic! Didn't the Dreamwave continuity give Sparkplug a 'real' name? I wonder if they'll use that one.

"Sparkplug" and "Spike" will probibally end up being nicknames given to the characters in the movie.

Great choice....never would have thought of him. But he fits the bill as Sparkplug for sure.

Nope, all the DW comics ever called him was "Sparkplug".

The Marvel comics, on the other hand, stated his first name as "William" in issue 3, and as "Irving" in issue 31.

Marvel did too. Two actually. His real name was stated to be William in #4, then Bob apparently forgot that scene and called him Irving later on into his run.

Well, poop--I was hoping they'd cast Dan Lauria (the dad from "The Wonder Years") as Sparkplug Witwicky. Even as far back as the first time I watched "The Wonder Years" in the late 80's, I thought Lauria was what Sparkplug would look like in real life: http://roneyspointmovie.com/db4/00383/roneyspointmovie.com/_uimages/WEBLAURIA2005.jpg

But Dunn's a solid actor and has played a lot of father figure-type roles, and he does seem to be a good match for the part. Good for him.

Never heard of him. Although the only actors name I recognize so far is Jon Voight :lol

My last post in that thread. (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=99240&page=2) :stick:

Back OT, he'd make an excellent Sparkplug. I enjoyed his different roles in a variety of movies. :thumb

Don't know much about the actor, but I'll agree that he looks "Spark-pluggy" enough, especially if you slap a hard hat on that melon.

Nah, they still have Spike's mum to go. Plus that Mahfouz(sp?) kid hasn't been mentioned as far as I know.

Not that it's a huge role or anything.
