Time problems

Dunno if this was brought up before, but a search revealed nothing.

When I use the boards, the time is set to GMT -4, which is incorrect for my area. Problem is, when into my CP go to change it to GMT -5 and hit "save changes", it stays as GMT -4. Any idea what could be causing the problem, and how I might be able to fix it?

you have to goof with the settings to get the right time. Even if it means selecting the incorrect time zone. It's what I had to do to get the correct posting time.

this has a been a problem for as long as I can remember here. Odd eh?

just turn off the daylight savings correction :)

Yeah, tried that too. I still can't get it to work correctly. Ah well. As long as it produces what seems to be the correct time.

Did that, and it appears to correct the time. Not a perfect method, but like TSFC said, at least it's displaying the proper time. Thanks, RL!
