Thanks to Transformers @ The Moon for the heads-up.

Voight's response sounds similar to Will Smith & the other actors from Independence Day when they were talking about "reacting to nothing" - i.e., getting used to the idea that there are tremendous things going on behind or in front of them while looking at/reacting to a blue screen or blue-covered object.
Most actors, I figure, can respond to blue screen well; it's just the question of how the blue screen is used by the director/producer. I think Lord of the Rings vs. the Star Wars prequels is a good comparison there.

Having him on board gives it some creadibility. I do hope that "Sam" is changed to Spike though.

It seem like a lot of big sci-fi movies try to get one mature "serious" actor to bring some credibility to the proceedings. I suspect that trend may have started with Sir Alec Guiness.
I wish they could get Voight's daughter to play Circuit Breaker though ;)

Secratary of State? That would probably fit him. I really don't see him playing anything except goverment or militarty.

That would be cool if his daughter was in the movie too.

Cool, even though I don't think that tells us anything all that new.

Come on... people barely even name their dogs Spike anymore. Let's just all be glad they're not using the Armada kids' names.

Wasn't he in National Treasure? Nick Cage's Dad?
Anyway; news like this can be encouraging I suppose, still you just know they'll get a big name star for one of the voices too just to add pull, as long as it ain't Robin Williams I don't really mind, after all this isn't a comedy.
