Thanks to JesterJJZ of Murphy Boards!

LinkyDink (http://www.shootfortheedit.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=2219#2219)

I KNOW IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I'VE POSTED HERE, SORRY. I WANT TO TELL EVERYONE MY NEXT MOVIE IS TRANSFORMERS!!! I'M REALLY EXCITED ABOUT IT. WE HAVE BEEN DRAWING FOR NINE MONTHS. THE ALIEN ROBOTS ARE AWESOME. THE SCRIPT IS GETTING VERY CLOSE AS WELL. STEVEN SPIELBERG HAS BEEN VERY INVOLVED WITH ME ON THE SCRIPT, WORKING WITH KURTZMAN AND ORCI WHO JUST CAME OFF OF MISSION IMPOSSIBLE THREE. WE START SHOOTING AT THE END OF MAY FOR A 7-4-7 RELEASE. (HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO BET FANTASTIC FOUR WILL MOVE AFTER THEY SEE OUR STUFF) WE HAVE SOME MINDBLOWING IMAGES AND ACTION IN THIS FILM THAT I KNOW WILL SATISFY THE DEEP FAN BASE AND TURN NON TRANSFORMER FANS INTO ONE. THE MOVIE HAS REAL EDGE, HUMOR AND HEART.

THERE ARE SOME RABID FANS OUT THERE. I JUST FOUND OUT THAT WE HAD 9,456 ATTEMPTED HACKS INTO OUR SERVER THAT HOLDS THE MOVIE ART WORK JUST IN THE MONTH OF JAN. I HAD THAT SERVER
DISCONNECTED TODAY.

I WILL KEEP YOU IN THE LOOP WEEKLY -- NOW THAT I JUST REFIGURED HOW TO LOG ONTO THIS SITE.

THANKS,
MICHAEL BAY

random numbers of "attacks" made up just to make it seem more "secret" are lame.

as are the caps.

hehehe

i doubt that many people in the fandom wouldnt even think they kept that stuff on a server anyway :P

regardless, i'm anxious to see how it turns out

Who cares about the rabid fans?!?

He posted that Transformers IS his next film. That means it got the Green Light from the studio and can now go into full production.

After the last couple of weeks of DM posting that there was still a chance this could all still not happen, it looks as if the last hurdle has been cleared.

Say what you will about Murphy, but the SOB did it. We're finally getting our movie made. Thanks, Don. :thumb

(Now I just hope it doesn't suck.)

Well, a film can get pulled at any time, pre-production, principal shooting, through Post. Hell, a film can be entirely done... and still never get released. I'm not saying this will happen, but you should understand that's what Don has been talking about.

I know. I use to work as a Propmaker in Hollywood.

But, most big budget movies usually are released after they go into full production. And with all of the names tied to the movie so far, I don't see anything really getting in the way once it's reached this point.

Ya, Don's just being a realist when he says "it may still not happen" but I think thats just to cover his back IF for some stupid reason it actually does get pulled.

But I'm sure 99% of us will be sitting in a theatre on July 4/07 eagerly anticipating the first moment when some car comes screaming down a road, jumps into the air and transforms into -insert favorite character here-. Or some other version of a similar scene.

That Is An Intriguing Update And I Am Glad The Film Looks To Be A Go At This Point, But I Still Fear That It Will Turn Into The Most Miserable Piece Of Shit Ever, Thus I Refuse To Get My Hopes Up About It.

How much do you want to bet there's a scene with Spike (or equivalent human character) throwing stuff out Prime's trailer in a freeway chase?

 whether he is or is not internet savy has little impact on his directing skills. MOST people have little to no internet skills, even today and they get by in life perfectly well.

Somehow it makes perfect sense to me that Michael Bay would type in all caps.
I'm sure he shouts rather than speaks all the time too.
And pops inflated paper bags whenever there's a moment of silence...

Michael Bay wants to give the public messageboard posts that are BIGGER AND LOUDER than all the others out there, just like he does with his movies. The man is consistent, if nothing else :D

While I am as excited about the movie as the next fan I am more excited about Fantastic Four 2. Here's hoping TF the movie will move its release date up so there won't be a conflict.

I sort of wish they would have gotten the director from Animaniacs to do the movie. He wouldn't have yelled so much. (http://wbtower.ashyre.com/sound/clips/jerry-too_loud.wav)

I agree with you 100%, I don't think we need him making this into a "Pearl Harbour 2" or even a "The Island 2" kind of attrocity.

lol damn, over 9,000 hackers and they couldn't get ONE piece of artwork? :D i'm almost disappointed

..and am i the only guy who thinks Bay is perfect for the kind of movie I envision Transformer's being? OK, Pearl Harbor sucked, but I think that was mostly due to the Dawson's Creek love story script. It was a different movie than what most of us were expecting post-Saving Private Ryan.

The Rock, The Island, Bad Boys 2.... while not being Shakespeare I found them all to be pretty entertaining and high-quality films for what they were. I mean, as far as summer action movies go, there have been much, much worse. Whether its attributed to their large budgets or to Bay's talent, I wouldn't really say that any of these three movies sucked outright.

I just hope that they do deliver on the emotional aspects of the human-Transformer and Transformer-Transformer relationships without getting too cheesy.

How can a movie make a fandom look bad?Only the PEOPLE of said fandom make it look bad

So if you're worried about how the fandom looks, just make sure you represent yourself properly

Great, but if it fails like the last one we may never see another one, ever again not even for another tf line. Murphys anti-star power in leadership roles mentality worries me to no end.

Great, but if it fails like the last one we may never see another one, ever again not even for another tf line. Murphys anti-star power in leadership roles mentality worries me to no end.Me too. What this film needs to succeed are some big name stars like, for instance, Judd Nelson, Robert Stack, Leonard Nimoy, Orson Welles, and the incomperable Eric Idle.

With a lineup like that there's no way it could fail.
