Now this is going on 30 years old now, but I'm sure there are some who aren't aware it existed. Plus it's always good for a laugh.

Spider Man with giant PR looking robots doesn't do it for me, unless he's kicking their asses.

OMFG that was funny. It seems like Super Senti was around in the 70s.

I am amazed at myself still remembering the song almost perfectly. But I had completely forgot the robot.

Bet you guys didn't know they were going to do the same thing with Captain America.
Here's all the info on that. (http://www.supersentai.com/database/1979_battle_fever_j/index.html) Very interesting stuff. Bet you guys had no idea Marvel used to be involved with the Super Sentai series.

Is this the Spiderman that got his powers from an attack from spider-like aliens?? Cool stuff actually, notice how his eyes are purposefully non-symmetrical.
The entire Sentai Jak-Q series was done during this little deal Marvel and TOEI had. Really cool stuff if you can get your hands on them.

I'll second that motion - with no current transformers series at the moment I'm suffering from a serious lack of fansubbed goodness.
Help us TV-Nihon - you're are only hope!

That would be so damn cool. I would love to get this series dubbed, or subbed even!! Where do I sign to get the petition rolling?

"OMFG there's a giant robot, why is there a giant robot?"
That slayed me, I would probally enjoy a faithful fansub, but I want more of the mocking of it too.

Hell, it looks better then the first Punisher movie, and 10X better then the Captain America movie with the Italian Red Skull and the ears attached to the mask.

Sure the show looks very dated and cheesy but try telling that to kids who watch that show during that time...tranforming robots and all are cool to kids! In fact the formula is so popular that it lives on in the form of "Power Rangers"! LOL!
Now I know where the concept of "Marvel Megamorphs" - toy robot versions of various marvel heros come from! LOL!

Spidey has a MegaZord?
Is this how ToyBiz got the idea for MegaMorphs?

heck it's better then the power rangers we got in the 90's, all of them, combined.
The Spider

Wasn't the Spider-Man show the first time they combined most of the elements used in sentai shows from the 80's to now? Like having the hero fight generic troopers then fight a monster who grows large, then use a vehicle that transforms into a giant robot to fight the giant baddie, for instance. Technically this makes Spider-Man the first Power Ranger!

One more thing--is it true that an upcoming Soul of Chogokin (like #33 or 34 or something) is going to actually be Spider-Man and his Leopardon robot?

Hmmm, I have no idea...I doubt Bandai will release the above toy under the SOC line for now. All I know is one of the releases will be the much anticipated - Voltes!

That would be a big yes! The success of Spiderman led to the creation of Battle Fever J, which was where the Sentai franchise really took off.
