Okay, I know this has to be moved to the Kitbash forum, but I worked all winter break on this and thought it'd get a few more hits in GD. Besides, I'm hoping I can catch some of the Star Wars fan eyes out there before it gets moved.

This project started over a year ago as a labor of love. The Star Wars series is riddled with Star Destroyers, some of which aren't always the same basic wedge shape. I wanted to create a signature Star Destroyer, something I could say was my twist on the look of the wedge ship. This is the result - a starship with a cored-out middle section, a "spine" like the Nebulon-B frigates (the Medical Frigate in "Empire Strikes Back") and a boat-like prow (like the Emperor's Star Destroyer in "Dark Empire.")

The interior of this ship is a Lego frame. The exterior is ALL styrene plastic and spare parts from the parts box. Nothing larger than 1/4th inch pieces came from another model kit.

The lighting look is accomplished by using reflective tape, a trick I picked up while looking at various Star Trek models websites.

Behold: The Glory.

That's quite impressive. How many hours of work would you estimate?

Around 100, I'd figure...has to be more than several days worth of work. I know that the past week, I've been working on painting and gluing on the reflective tape for 4 hour periods at a time.

It looks so sweet. I thought your were just smart, did'nt know you had those crafty skills. Would take me a lifetime to build that.

Oh yeah, stick this baby in the cool stuff thread.

Good work, the design makes it look more of an Old Republic ship rather then the sleek wedges favored by the Empire.

Somebody really needs to do a good ISD model, the old ERTL one they trot out every so often sucks. Wouldent mind a VSD or Allegiance kit either.

WOW. The workmanship is great enough, but the original design could fit right in with the movies. Hell, that could be good enough to be a miniature used in the old movies!

Nice work, that is one impressive looking ship. The array of antenna on the front is a nice stylistic choice.

They are around, I might have to fish them off of the older digital camera.

Somebody else said the front looked familiar - yeah, the front was kinda inspired by the 5th Element starships, which were pretty close to Star Destroyers as well.

I don't know if it's what you're thinking, but the bow of the ship reminded me of some of the Earth capital ships on Babylon 5.
