View Full Version : MPB-01 Masterpiece King Exkiser Gallery (1 of 2)
I'm taking a queue from the all the folks here at this board who constantly dedicate time and effort to producing terrific pictures for the rest of us to view. I'd like to give something back! :thumbs2:
I hope everyone will enjoy these pics, and that anyone who's on the fence about getting this guy will just do it! The first part of the gallery will focus on the packaging (which is 'masterpiece' in its own right), and part two on the figure itself.
Please provide any thoughts about how I can improve my photos. Thank you!

That looks pretty sweet the only thing holding me back from picking one up is who the heck is "King Exkiser". How dose he fit into Transfromers or dose he??? He looks like something out of Gundam.
Not a Transformer at all. But made by Takara... so i guess he and all the other "Brave" robots are sort of cousins.

Okay then if he somehow fit in with Transformers I might have picked him up but I will just stick with what I collect TFs, Robotech, Gundam, and Superhero Figures. Currently waiting on the arrival of MP Voltron.(I have been waiting years for a nice rendition of Votron and now it has happend).

Awesome pics man, you even put all the pages in from the book. Sweet.
It's cool they added the Space Police Kizers in there. That big white lion looks awesome inside the packaging. Never noticed that either. Wonder how sturdy his sword is?
Those little hands are so tiny.
Really loving how they combine . Dig your other Kizer gallery as well, and the Bumblebee statue
Thanks CM, that means a lot coming from you. I've been enjoying your pics for a long time.
Everyone else, please keep thoughts/suggestions coming! :)

For those wondering, Exkaiser is the leader of the "Kaisers", a faction of energy beings who possess vehicles and fashion robot modes from them. His mission is to protect the Earth from another faction of energy beings, the space pirate "Geisters", who took the forms of mechanical dinosaurs (specifically, the four lesser Geisters are Slag, Sludge, Snarl and Swoop, wiht different colours and designs. Show only though, toys were never made). The Geisters are seeking treasures on Earth, including old cameras, the world's fastest bullet train, nuclear powerstations, and a rocket to Mars.
In the loosest possible sense, it could be viewed as a parallel universe version of TF, with the Kaisers playing the Autobots and the Geisters playing the Predacons from RiD. Indeed, the Generations DX book is meant to have concept art of some unmade TFs, a couple of whom were later used for Exkaiser. I think it was the God Max trio, who share the dual chest gimmick with Exkaiser. Anyone able to confirm?
That's one nice gallery, Ams. You're making me think twice on not getting him... though I've got a different new Brave winging his way to me. Oh yes.

Wow. That really makes me want to pick this guy up.
I still have to get my hands on a MP or 20th Anniv. Prime, though. That's my priority. ;)

How is the transformation like on this one? Is it self-contained or is it a partformer?

Having seen TK's Dragon Kaizer in it's full glory I think I will buy him now. They are well worth it when combined.

It's a "perfect transform" toy which means no parts added or taken away with the obvious exception of weapons and optional parts (hands and the chest of the smaller robot "Kaizer" which can be changed from a plain chest into a scuplted lions face).
Transformation wise, the trailer turns into the large form which then opens up and the smaller robot fits inside, kind of like a really big powerloader... decoorated with a lions facial features.
Part 2 of the gallery coming very soon - next couple of days. I'll have every conceivable photo angle on this guy... he's just that good.

Is it possible to change the bot into a lion? I may pick this up since it's like a stylish version of TF. How much is it going for?

$94.99 at BBTS, I believe.
And no, it doesn't have a beast mode. The lion head is just there to be a symbol of courage and braveness. Hence the name of the series.

Mmm... that's about $100. I'll have to give it some thought.

Great gallery so far. I may end up getting this guy. But if I may request, be sure to take a size comparison pic of him with another TF or sometihng we're familiar with. I wanna see how big this guy really is.
