1. MiB original Pepsi Prime, only tape has been cut -- Worth it? Aw yes. :)
2. 100% complete and mint G1 Scorponok -- Worth it? Yes. :)
3. Brave Max - Worth it? Yes, especially since I can't afford a Fort Max at the moment.
4. Masterpiece Prime -- Worth it? At the time, yes, but it wasn't long afterwards I could get him much cheaper. Kinda got burned.
5. Reissue Predaking -- Worth it? Yep, looks nice sealed and proud on my display, and feels good knowing I have a mint backup to the vintage original I have from my childhood. :)

A near mint Great Goldran giftset, boxed with all inserts and accessories, most of which are still on the original runners. He is the rarest and most expensive of all the Great Brave giftsets. Got him as a part of a lot with two out of the three in the above picture and a whole bundle of others. You'd better believe he is worth it.

He's worth it. Great Exkaiser vintage giftset. Pretty darn good condition, a little wear and tear, but nothing catastrophic. He didn't set me back much more than $100, but can and sometimes does go for loads more.

You know. This thread got me thinking. I've got a really big collection with a lot of hard to find stuff, but the only thing 2 things that I know that $100 were spent on was my 0 Prime and my Predaking giftset, and both were gifts. I've got Metroplex, Trypticon, Omega, orig. Predaking, and lots, lots more. I guess I'm just lucky on what I've gotten.

The red, yellow and blue guys in the first two pics is SOC Zambot, the blue guy and the other guy his size are both part of SOC Xabungle, and the guy with the 4 turrets is the Macross VB-6 Koenig Monster. These are all very cool robots/mechs. If I get a chance I'll try and do better galleries of these as well as my SOC Aquarian, Dancouga, and Gaiking.

My Red Alert hade no faults except he was a little toå heavy but positioning is everything and Broadblast and Skids are the same a little heavy upper body but they most BTs have that.

nightscream -unfortunately, everything's all packed up. it seems I need to do a gallery of that bumblebee. he was the cybercon convention exclusive in 2004. I guess there were only 25 of them made. he was handmade, from someone who does custom figs, I think the fella who was doing all of the actionmaster repaints. also at that convention were 15 handmade cybertron seekers, the ones that were pyramid shaped, though they don't transform, unlike bumblebee.

The Yamato is the Soul Of Popynica BPX-01. It was first released a few years ago and was just re-released last year. It's 15 inches, about 85% diecast, lights, sounds, scale cosmo tigers. With my total love of Starblazers growing up this thing is TOTALLY worth it! The Arcadia is pretty badass as well.

DekaBaseRobo was over 100 simply because it was an import.

I also have King J-Der from Gaogaigar, but just can't remember if I paid over 100 for him.

Metalhawk! This is the second one I've owned. I bought the first one MIB off the old alt.toys newsgroup for $50 when I was just getting back into TFs. I didn't know a thing about the toy, I just knew he was a Pretender and at that time collecting all of the Pretenders was my main collecting goal.

I scored this Metalhawk off eBay (minus the box) for around $75. I knew of a website at that time that had an empty box for sale for I think $25. So a complete boxed Metalhawk for $100 ain't too bad!

There too expensive for my deteriorating toy account, plus too hard to find. (like vintage StarConvoy). Plus after buying Monstructor, Im more hesitant now with rare gestalts.
Still would love to own them though.

Apart from the obligatory MP01 and MP02, a few MIB CR2000 stuff, and a D-16 special, I don't think I have anything that really goes over $100 (£56). I may take pictures later, but its all boxed up and hidden away.

I have an original Targetmaster Hot Rod, but I suspect his value's dipped since the reissue. Bah.

And these... not $100 individually, but I paid $250 for a full set of tapes to complete this set... ouch. Having said that, I sold off 6 of those tapes (doubles of those I already had) to help with the cost. It doesn't compare with some of the stuff in this thread, but I think it's neat.

Unfortunately, $200 is about standard for a Soul of Chogokin Dancouga, especially since it's out of production now. Actually, $200 is about standard for most die-cast transforming Japanese robots of that scale. I think just the guns, because the military type never used the arrows or swords in the anime.

Both versions of the toy look really cool, I really want the military version...but the "fixed" version of Aquarion is really tempting too! :banghead:

I sold my boxed Roadfire back at OTFCC 2004 @ Allspark.com's consignment table. He fetched $250...if it hadn't been for that sale I wouldn't have had any spending money for that weekend. Still kinda wish I'd kept him though b/c his Micromaster is great and the toy is pretty frickin' hard to find nowadays!

Call me ignorant, but what are these mysteriously awesome and apparently thunderously expensive tapes that ams has shown us?

As for my $100 and up toys... Fort Max for one... G1 Omega Supreme for another... talking Canadian dollars, importing Takara reissue Megatron was another. That's about it for me.

They're the Japanese only combiner tapes that came out at the end of G1. Insanely rare, insanely expensive. Sealed ones are probably $400+ each.

This thread frigging RAPED ME. I'm so jealous of you guys. Nightscream's post from Page 4 made my jaw drop. Blah! I wish I weren't so damned poor. The only thing from this thread I have is the Megatron reissue, only because I lucked out and found it on ebay for 50 dollars with free shipping, totally mint might I add. That was a great deal. Otherwise, the most expensive toy I own is probably the Hasbro 20th Prime, bought at 70 bucks.

The Sentai name is SaintKaiser. The black version of the horse (which is suprising that it wasn't released before the white version), is called WolKaiser. And when the Wolazard (the black knight w/ WolKaiser) is used w/ the Unicorn his name is BraveKaiser. Although I don't think that combo was ever used in the show or movie.

It was pretty expensive...but it's a badass robot! And I'm a HUGE GaoGaiGar freak, so there was never any doubt that I wouldn't pick him up.

I have a lot of work on it. I actually rebuilt it from the ground up new boxed in frame, tubular suspension, customs interior, 507 cid big block :D the list goes on... I've just been waiting on better weather to finish him.
