... rumor is, KITT is estatic.
Actually, I wasn't aware he had such an alcohol problem.

All the lifeguards on Baywatch couldn't save David Hasselhoff's drowning marriage.
The Speedo-loving actor filed for divorce Thursday from his wife, actress Pamela Bach, citing irreconcilable differences.
"David Hasselhoff and his wife Pamela Bach have decided to end their marriage due to irreconcilable differences, and he has filed for divorce," Hasselhoff's publicist, Judy Katz, said in a statement Thursday.
"The couple have agreed to an amicable settlement."
Hasselhoff and Bach tied the knot in December 1989--eons ago in Hollywood years--and are the parents of two teenage daughters.
Details relating to custody and division of property were not disclosed.
Hasselhoff was previously married to actress Catherine Hickland from 1984 to 1989. That union also ended in divorce and produced no children.
Hasselhoff portrayed head lifeguard Mitch Buchannon on Baywatch from 1989 to 2000, riding herd over a crew of scantily-clad female lifeguards played by well-endowed actresses including Pamela Anderson, Nicole Eggert and Yasmine Bleeth.
Before suiting up in his regulation red trunks, Hasselhoff starred opposite a talking car as Michael Knight on Knight Rider from 1982 to 1986.
In recent years, Hasselhoff has publicly struggled with problems related to substance abuse, admitting that he hit "rock bottom" in 2002 during a drinking binge that almost killed him.
Said binge occurred after Hasselhoff checked himself into Betty Ford Clinic in an attempt to quit the booze, but then checked back out after a day of treatment to go have a drink.
The actor holed up in a hotel in Palm Desert, California, where he proceeded to down the contents of his mini-bar. Hotel workers discovered him unconscious on the floor the next day, and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was revived and treated for alcohol poisoning.
Following the incident, Hasselhoff checked back into rehab to complete his treatment and vowed to stick to an alcohol-free existence.
Unfortunately, that vow didn't last long--in June 2004, Hasselhoff was nabbed for drunk driving after police spotted him behind the wheel, displaying less than spectacular motoring skills.
The actor pleaded no contest to the DUI charge in October 2004, and was sentenced to three years of self-supervised probation, ordered to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings two times a week for six months, hit with $490 in fines and restitution and required to perform 200 hours of community service. His driver's license was also restricted for 90 days.
Hopefully, Hasselhoff has his driving skills back up to speed, as he is headed for a career revival of sorts with a starring role in the big-screen adaptation of Knight Rider, which has been in in the works for some time now.
Hasselhoff is slated to reprise the role of Michael Knight in the film, which is expected to begin shooting this summer with the aim of a December release date.
A big-screen version of Baywatch is reportedly also in the pipeline, but Hasselhoff--perhaps deemed past his Speedo prime--is not attached to the project.
