yeah a new one. so far i've only been able to dl eps 1-5, i dont think 6 has been released yet.

i'm liking it, i've seen the original 12 its pretty much the same story so far, but they've changed quite a few little details and elaborated on the characters. so i guess its more of a retelling of the original series.

the animation is pretty good too and i love the facts they've kept all the orginal character designs. (except for sho's silly sideburns!)

use the search box in the right hand collumn and search for guyver.

the 5th episode has been out a while, i wonder if they've stopped fan subbing them...

Hmm I saw the first one awhile back, seemed like a new retelling of the old show, I was hoping it was gonna continue where the old one left off.

Still was good though, just I lost the link I had for it. (forum I got it from went to a new server)

its a retelling of the old story, and its set to go past the 12th episode of the original series, so eventually it will be finishing thw story. i hope.

Ah, the new show. I've seen some of the subbed episodes, pretty neat. Animation is a little lacking though, the original OVAs for their age are superior. Of course, those had a higher budget per episode, so what do you expect?
A few other bits and pieces on the show -
- it's more than likely coming to the US. ADV, I think, or one of the other groups was involved in financing it, therefore it was licensed in production. Main reason there are no fansubs, most groups won't touch a licensed property.
- The anime is meant to be a "more faithful" adaptation of the manga, covering volumes 1 - 10. I'm not sure what that translates to in terms of the original OVA, though the first five episodes roughly cover the events of the first three episodes. That said, there's some major changes compared to the original so if you've seen that you've still got a fair few surprises to look forward to. I have a fair idea, based on the beginning of the first episode, what major events might be covered.
- The series is pretty darn awesome. Can't wait to see the characters hinted at in the first episode in action in the show.

Anyone got the Guyver toys from Maxfactory? They're beautiful with a decent amount of articulation...unfortunately, they're expensive too! :(

I was actually looking at those figures maybe a month or two ago... i'd love to get one, but damn, they are expensive. I'll probably end up getting one eventually.

yeah they are a bit pricey. but in thier favour they are extremely high quality, and very detailed and articulated. just do some damagte limitation and get the 3 guyvers ;)

Sorry for the late reply. Yeah, they are pricey even in Asia! I got Guyver 1, 3, Aptom and the first Zolord. I eventually gave up on them because of the price!

If you endure the way how most of my country "speak", you can check out the thread below for some the latest Guyver figures!

I beg to differ, I just watched 6, and that corresponds to OVA 5, but we've not yet seen ZX Tole, plus Guyver II and Zelebruth are both still alive. Heck, the episode 7 preview even shows Guyver II going after Guyver III, which never happened before.
I kinda like it this way, though :)

yeah at least its different enough to warrant watching the beginning again, good move on thier part. has the fansub of ep 6 come out yet?

I've been watching these subs, too. (Up to ep six, now.) I never got to see past the first episode of the old one. They were talking about this over at Macross World. This series is supposed to stay much closer to the original manga, than the old series.

From what I understand, there are other groups doing subs, beside Guyver Fansubs. They're faster, but I've been told that they're not as good.
