I guess the toys are inevitable now... (http://www.marvel.com/catalog/showcomic.htm?id=2367&format=comic)

I can't find the words for it... :banghead:

Actually the first six pages are available for preview and they're pretty good. Plus the artist is Lou Kang, how can it not be cool.

Because it's friggin lame, that's why. if they were gonna go this route, why not just reacquire the Transformers license? And they blatantly admit that it's just a toy line tie-in.

And... WHY IN GOD'S NAME GIVE THE HULK A GIANT MECH?!?!?! DON'T HE WRECK ENOUGH STUFF WITHOUT ONE?!!?

This is mainly aimed for kids with that said, I wont be reading it but if it gets someone intrested in comics then kick ass.

I'll be getting it. McKeever hasn't disappointed me yet. Sentinel and Gravity are both solid books. This just looks cool. however I have no idea how you can get both Ghost Rider and Hulk not only to pilot giant robos but also pilot giant robots on a team!

Maybe its smart Hulk or perhaps its Banner/Hulk ala Bruce Jones.

I'm so gonna buy that. It's outright surreal and absurd...with superheroes and giant transforming robots.

I mean, setting aside any pretenses of continuity or mature storytelling (or not having read a Marvel book for years, like me), it looks like it'll be crazyfun.

I'd pick it up, McKeever is a awesome writer. Plus, the designs don't look half that bad at all.

What I find most absurd isn't the giant transforming robots, it's that at the end of Disassembled, Stark didn't even have enough money to keep funding the avengers or rebuild the mansion... but here he is with a high-tech weapons factory churning out giant transforming robots for all his super-human buds.

... having said that, this is an amazing idea and I'll be picking it up.

I like how in the preview pages Iron Man says, "The Mega Morphs aren't toys." and yet they so are, it's like some weird kind of reverse marketing.

The Spider-Man and Fantastic Four tie-ins are great. The only one that's not very good is Iron Man. And a lot of that is the horrible Pat Lee art.

My Man-Thing is already giant-sized. Why would I need a mechanical one?

Completely off topic for the moment, but is the Man-Thing a hero, a villain or a misunderstood scientist who turned himself into a big... Well, Man-Thing?

On topic; the pages of Mega Morphs look interesting, I might have to break my rule of no more mini-series unless it's in a trade to pick this one up just to have something completely campy in my collection.

I think Man-Thing is just Man-Thing. I mean; its hard to write decent stories about a.."thing" that causes people to burst into flames by their own fear. 0_0 That's why it only pops up in cameos from time to time. So its neither a hero or a villian, just a horror comic line residue character.

Anyway.

Super Sentai. =) Surreal, absurd and kicks buttage.

Just that I don't know how THIS will turn out. Wouldn't it have been better if Marvel gained the PR comic rights from Disney/Saban or if Toybiz and Marvel co-opped a franchise together that didn't use existing characters.

Still; its rather quirky and the six preview pages didn't look or read bad. Just thats its such a copout that the mini series is placed AFTER the toy pack-in comics. =P

I love when they brought that up in Avnegers. "You can't find the avengers but have a Quinjet?" "it was already in production" Heh

Speaking of the devil, I'm surprised marvel didn't get him to draw this. I'd rather see him on this than doing HoM Iron man and Spiderman covers.

Well, technically, since the mega-morphs are powered by their powers, Hulk's machine also has unlimited strength...

... and Wolverine's can regenerate...

... and Captain America's, Iron Man's and Doctor Octopus' aren't very special at all...
