On my weekly Wednesday Transformers Hunt, I found Armada Hoist at the Target Greatlands at the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers, MA hidden behind a wall of Demolishors and Smokescreens. Here's a pic:

There were also one each of the Armada Beasts, but no sign of any of the other newest wave figures or Universe figures.

The Wal*mart on Route 114 in Danvers and the Route 107 Wal*Mart in Salem, MA had the Armada Beasts, the Universe Figures, and Final Battle Optimus Prime.

The Toys 'R Us in Peabody, MA had a bunch of the Re-issues, and a few Universe figures, but no new Armada figures.

Sorry, Peeman, but the stores I haunt are at least a half-hour drive from Boston. Best thing to do is look at the store locator links from the other thread, then use a driving directions site like Yahoo! Maps. Just enter the address for the Lennox as the starting address and any one of the store addresses as the ending point and go from there.

I got Tidal Wave a couple weeks ago at TRU in Aburn, I was lucky too, only a couple left and haven't seen any since. And I've seen a couple of the beasts, universe and reissues there too a couple days ago.

Unicron, Roleplay Swords, and BTR Jetfire, Demolishor and Optimus Prime at the new Target on Highland Ave. in Salem, MA.

The KB Toyworks a few doors down from the new Target have a small cache of Destructicons and a Supreme Cheetor collecting dust on the shelves.

The TRU at the North Shore Mall moved their Transformer section to a more prominent location in the action figures section, but nothing new or exciting on the shelves.

K-Mart in Saugus has Nemesis Prime and the Jetfire/Bling Bling Prime two-pack.

Wal*Mart in Danvers has all the Mini-con repaints and one Landfill giftset.

Target in Salem has all the mini-con repaints and Tankor & Obsidian

Wal*Mart in Salem has about 30 Landfill giftsets.

Also of note is that the Targets and Wal*Marts have very few (if any) Supercons left on the pegs, whereas all the other toy lines are fully stocked. My guess is that Energon is gonna be showing up this week or next ::crosses fingers::

The Salem Target has Universe Depthcharge.

Run out and get them before the Nor'Easter hits this afternoon!

Newbury Comics, on Newbury St. in Boston, had an Energon Saber set of Minicons today, until I left with it. ;)

For those interested in looking for more Energon figures at this store, or the other Newbury Comics stores, keep in mind that there's little organization to the placement of toys. I had to look incredibly hard to find this set.

I need to drag my butt to FAO Schwartz later this week, to see how their selection's holding up. I'll report back on this store later.

Alternators Smokescreen sighted at two Target locations. One in Everett near Wellington T station, the other at Somerville near Burger King. At the time, Everett had 4 of them. Supposedly there is now 1 left after purchasing 3 of them. Somerville location has 1 left after friend's purchase and his sighting.

* It is not a sighting but it is something to note. I saw the pricetag (and stock space) for 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime and it is $69.99 if memory serves me correctly. A lady was at the same aisle stocking up the toys and I asked my usual questions. The answers were 'no' and 'cannot say because they don't give out information regarding collectibles.' Oh well. It's almost here... but I wish it'd get here already...

Why am I not posting? I've no interests in the Energon series. While they're pretty much new and keeps the toys fresh, the designs are rather poor. But I guess you can blame Car Robot/Robots in Disguise for that. For now, I'll focus my attention on the Alternators series.... that is, until another big thing comes around...

Insecticon and Arcee started showing up on the West Coast a couple weeks ago, so it should be about mid to late April before they arrive on our shelves, and then sometime in May for Demolishor and whatever else has a Spring release date.

Landmine has been around since mid-February. Didn't see him at the Wally*World in Danvers today. Plenny o' Megatrons, though.

Best bet for Landmine may be the Peabody TRU at the North Shore Mall.

It has been a rainy and unfruitful day today!
(My goal was to acquire BW Season 2 DVD set and Landmine)

Went to Danver Bestbuy and couldn't find BeastWars Season 2.
Went to the Target next door and couldn't find Landmine. 1 King Atlas though for anyone who's interested.

Then went to Danver Walmart still no Landmine, tons of Megatron
(Went to Reading Walmart already last week, no Landmine, got a Megatron however).

Then went to TRUS Burlington (close to my hotel, which I visted twice last week), and of course, no Landmine, haha. They've restocked and got some Ramjets.

I guess I'll try my luck at North Shore Mall TRUS tomorrow as Lance Halberd has suggested.

Located Smallest Transformers Series 2 at the Toy Vault in the Emerald Square mall in Attleboro today. A little pricey at $6.99 but if you want instant gratification this is the only place around here where you can get it that I know of.

Found Demolishor on 5/8/04 at the Danvers Wally*World. Only one, on a peg behind a row of Snowcats and Prowls. Looks like this may have been the 1x per case of Wave 2 restocks (had the new comic, too). Still no sign of Arcee and Insecticon since I saw them on 4/21/04. At this rate, Mirage should show up first week of June.

I used to post on He-Man.Org on the Mass. thread about Mass toy sightings and invariably all the sightings were like about an hour and a half to two hours away. I am wondering if there are any Transfans closeby - Bellingham Wal-Mart, Toys-R-Us, K-B Toy Outlet, Milford K-Mart, Milford Target (and the Framingham stores as well !) I used to run this first circle (minus the Framingham stores twice a week, and post anything new. If there are any Trannyfans from this area please post as well - lately I have been busy with stuff, and my run throught that circle has gone from about twice a week to about once a month. If you are from around this end and see anything please post!! Thanks friends-this is the way we get the things we desire.

Has there been any sign of Mirage in the Boston area yet? I haven't seen him around, but then I haven't been out a lot, either. I don't have a car to explore the 'burbs, and since they closed the KB Toys in Coolidge Corner my closest source of toys is gone.

Since I'm financially busted right now, I'm only keen on finding Mirage and Shockblast when they hit the area. Any sign of either would likely motivate me to be short on rent money this month. :ev:

As another person living in the burbs I can vouch for the truthfulness of this statement. There are three Wal-Marts and two Targets within the vicinity of Lynn and Peabody.

Indeed. When I was visiting my family in the 'burbs of upstate NY, I was able to pick up Energon Megatron at the local über-Wal*Mart. They have one of those huge ones, with an entire grocery store on one side, that's open 24/7. Talk about crazy—but they had pretty much every current figure available. If only I had a car, I could hit one of the local stores. :(

I'm going to be in Concord, NH this weekend, and will probably check the Wal*Mart there. If they happen to have Shockblast in stock… well, I won't be able to buy him, 'cause I need the money for rent. Bah!

It sucks having thousands of dollars of debt. Really, it does.

Just found this message board, making first post and hopefully not last.

On a trip to the Danvers Wal-Mart for other things today, I came across several Energon Demolishers, one Insecticon and one Arcee but no Mirage. Didn't pick any up as I already have them. Also everything one would expect them to have was there. Toys R Us in Peabody had nothing new.

I won't be doing much hunting for a while because I don't expect Shockblast, Omega, Cliffjumper et al until August at least, but I will post when I see anything worth wild.

Oh...for any one interested Newbury Comics in Peabody had a RID Ultra Magnus (far left of the store by the comics on top of one Alernator Smokescreen and Sideswipe) and the Comic Book Store in the Liberty Tree Mall (not sure of the name) had one Armada Megatron, and a what looked like a Reissue Sixshot I think (behind the counter).

I wish the New England Comics in Coolidge Corner would carry Transformers. I know the owner digs them. They had an Armada Unicon there for a while, but he went within a couple of weeks of his original appearance in the store. Why they carry those Muppet Show figure, wack RPG figures, and other random crap—but don't carry Transformers of any kind—is beyond me. Do any of the NEC's in the Boston area regularly stock Transformers?

Me either. The only TF I think I actually bought there is the repaint of G2 Megs. They never have any figure I'm looking for and sometimes they're overpriced.

I was sort of surprised to even see that Armada Unicron show up in the store. I should get on the owner about stocking Transformers toys, but I think it's got more to do with what the NEC über-company provides him with than what he chooses to stock. He's told me in the past that he's only been able to get one copy of certain TPB's and special issues, because NEC as a whole only gets so many from the publisher, and has to distribute them amongst all of their stores. Weak.

Oh well. I need to get a business license and start ordering my toys from Hasbro—wholesale. Maybe I'll start a Transformers-only retail site. :wink:

Nowadays I check NEC once a month or whenever a new issue of G1 (Ongoing) is released. I live up in Melrose area so the closest NEC for me is one located in Malden. I can check for TF-related items the next time I stop by.

Man... I haven't checked up on any figures at all for eons... The only thing that really caught my attention was the Super Link Shadowhawk Cosmo Type figure. Now that I took a closer look at it, perhaps I should have bought Divebomb when it was released here. Guess I'll have to see if I can find one locally.

Stoped by the Wal-Mart in North Reading yesterday. Several Alternator Silverstreaks were in stock, although you might have to dig to find them, I did see about 4 left.
Also about three Energon Mirages were there, and again you have to search for them. They are on the top shelf on the other side of where the Transformers are located. Three Energon Demolishers where there as well.

I wish you would - I went to Ireland for 2 years and when I came back (Brookline) KBtoys in Coolidge Corner was gone - now I have to go to Kmart in Watertown and ToysRUs near Alewife! NEC hasn't had anything lately - gov't Center, Newbury St. or CC.

Since I have a Jeep Wrangler, went back to the North Reading Wal-Mart today looking for Hound with no luck. Definately restocked the Alternators from Mon. afternoon though. This trip was not in vain though. Choose to believe this post or not since I don't have a digital camera or scanner to verify, but Energon Cliffjumper and Shockblast were in stock briefly until they came home with me. Again believe me or not, I would doubt this post too since I have not seen any posted sightings yet, but Shockblast and Cliffjumper have hit Mass. Looks as if the North Reading Wal-Mart is getting restocked big time though. It wouldn't surprise me if Bulkhead and Omega Supreme are there within a few weeks (I looked high and low today for them too).

Still had of E Demolishers and Mirages too along with Alternator Silverstreaks. Also saw a Armada Wheeljack there as well.

Side note, I wonder if the new episodes on CN may have something to do with this? Doesn't Shockblast and a few new charecters debut in the episodes next week? Maybe they are trying to have the new stuff on the shelves as the charecters are introduced?

I went to Ireland for 2 years and when I came back (Brookline) KBtoys in Coolidge Corner was gone[.] NEC hasn't had anything lately - gov't Center, Newbury St. or CC.
The NEC in CC has some new Micromasters figures. There is one team of six Autobot combiners, and a team of six Decepticon combiners. IIRC, they're selling them for $5.95 each. I bought figures 5 and 6 from the Decepticon team, and will likely go back for figures 1 - 4 before work tomorrow. :ev:

Nobody had bought any of these figures before I got there, so there are a decent number left—and I wouldn't be surprised if Ben (the owner) has more in stock, or if these will show up at other NEC's.

I really shouldn't be buying these, but I feel compelled to get the rest of the Decepticon team, so that I can build the gestalt.

I may swing through the Framingham (or other) Wal-Mart tomorrow, as I'll have a friend's car for the day. I don't mean to take advantage of her loaning me the car, but then her boyfriend's also on this board, so it would be advantageous if I came across a Shockblast for one or both of us. :D

The New England Comics at Coolidge Corner in Brookline now has three of the Takara G1 re-issues in stock. The figures that were there when I left (having purchased #7 - Sideswipe, for my friend :) ) are #2 - Prowl, #5 - Smokescreen, and #12 - Minibots (the set of six).

Sideswipe was priced at $41.95, but there's a sale running until the 7th, which includes 20% off all non-comic merchandise. It ended up being just over $33 for the Sideswipe figure, when all was said and done.

As for those Takara Micromasters, they're down to three of the Sixwing figures (I've got six of the colored figures, and two chase figures), and I'm guessing the rest are the chase figures needed to make the Autobot version of Sixwing. There's still a full case of twelve Sixturbo figures. :rolleyes

It would seem that some of these Takara figures should be popping up at other NEC's, BTW.

The only time I saw Alt. Silverstreak was two weeks ago on 6/23. The Danvers Wal*Mart had one (that I saw), and I bought it. Haven't seen hide nor hair of Silverstreak in any of the Saugus, Salem, Danvers, or Peabody Wal*Marts, Targets, or TRU's since then.

Aparently the North Reading Wal*Mart got the motherload of Silverstreaks and Hounds in that week, but I've never gotten around to seeing if they still have any.

Ironhide is a different story. Those stores could give away a free Ironhide with purchase of anything, and they still wouldn't run out of the damn things.

I don't know what the deal is, but I'm certainly not liking it.

Well, I was just at the Swansea TRU, and they had at least two of the new Energon Optimus/Megatron 2-packs. Finally, over the weekend I was able to procure a U. Nemesis Prime from the Target in Seekonk. No real sightings in the rest of this post just want to give everyone a heads up to keep an eye on your local TRU because while in El Paso, TX on a quick hunt I noticed that the TRU there had been completely restocked with several of each of the new Delux and Mega figures in PL Packaging.

Also, the Sears in the Burlington Mall started setting up a toy section for Xmas. While looking at the sheet on how they were going to set it up I noticed about 6 pegs were reserved for energon deluxes. The area wasn't finished yet.

Well, the floodgates have opened on new Energon stuff. The Wal Marts in both Seekonk and Dartmouth have all of the new Energon deluxes, although you have to look on the end caps to find some of them (the new displays are up). Also, the TRU in Dartmouth (comes up as New Bedford on their store locator for some reason) has two Energon Energon Ironhides, the new deluxes, and one more Optimus/Megs two pack. In addition, the TRU in Swansea has 3 Shockblasts, 3 Cliffjumpers, 3 Dreadwings, and 2 Energon Energon Ironhides (and this is only because I bought one). There are also a single Hound and Silverstreak at the Wal Mart in Fall River, and all of the new Energon basics (Terrorcon repaints, Omnicon repaints, Insecticon, Arcee, Perceptor wave) are at both TRU's.

I just started working overnights saturday, and yesterday at the toys r us in framingham, we got in 2 cases of the megas with wing saber and others. since I bought one w.s. and dinobot set, there's one more pair still there. we also got in a case of ricochets, I believe four of them. the megas are on sale, and with my discount, I got wingsaber and the dinobots for a total of $28! However, it does have one Stormjet and two Steamhammers (well, they did have two Stormjets, but after I dragged over the ladder I'm sure you know where the other one went). They are in overstock, above the Hot Wheels with a bunch of other Powerlinx Battles deluxes. There was also at least 2 Omega Sentinels and an Alternators Dead End. There were about 20 each of Sledge, Duststorm, Sky Shadow, and Treadshot and there were about 10 each of Storm Jet and Steamhammer. This was of about an hour ago. The display is not really by the rest of the Transformers and in the middle of the main ailse.

In addition to the above, Landquake, Dreadwing, and Green Ironhide were there.

The Cranston KMart has one Prowl/Checkpoint pack left, but be forewarned...the box is smashed all to hell. The toys are in perfect shape, and the paperwork is there, but if you care at all about the box, then don't even bother. Yep, that's right. An Alt. Grimlock that I did not purchase. However, before you rush out to Saugus to buy him, heed my caveat: The box was ripped, the bubble containing Grimlock was attached to the bottom of the packaging by only one tab, the paint was scratched above the rear window, and worst of all, HE WAS MISSING HIS SWORD.

I took the battered box to Guest Services, and asked if because of the damages and missing parts, if they could check the stock to see if there were any out back. Honestly, I wasn't interested in purchasing Grimlock, I was hoping they'd pull out a minty fresh case with Swindle. The Guest Services rep. searched the inventory, and told me that there were no locations. Responding to my blank stare, she explained that 'no locations' meant there weren't any in the store. I then asked her if it was possible to mark it down because of the missing parts and damage, and she informed me that it was not store policy to mark down damaged items, but instead send it back and get a new case in.

So to the fuckstick who ripped Alt. Grimlock's box and stole the sword, thank you. Thank you for forcing Target to order more cases of Alternators. Unless Target just turns around and puts the damaged one back on the shelf in hopes that a less savvy customer buys it for the full price of $19.97.

Sorry for the late post, but picked up Wave 2 of the Combiner Limbs at the Woburn Target on Fri 28-Jan. I picked up both sets of Kickback and Stormcloud and one set of Windrazor and Teradive, leaving only one set of Windrazor and Teradive behind. As a side note none of these except for one Windrazor were on the shelves, I had to ask someone to check the back for me to bring the rest out.
There was also a few Barricades and Energon Kickers there as well.

Also several 2-packs of Optimus Prime and Megatron, but not the TRU exclusive of the smaller figures - these are the full-sized Primes and Megatrons with their boxes taped together and a retail price of $44.99. The Wal Marts in Swansea and Raynham have the new Universe Deluxes (multiples of each, too). Now, if I could just find E Grimlock and Swoop and Wing Saber in some place even remotely close to me I'll be happy (Peabody is, unfortunately, a bit too far). On a side note, if anyone would be willing to pick up E Grimlock and Swoop and Wing Saber for me I certainly wouldn't complain (now I know I'm dreaming :D ).

And I have been to at least 30 different Wal Marts, KMarts, TRUs, Kay Bees, and Targets since Christmas and I have not seen a single Beachcomber. I think at this point your best bet would be to order online (I know dnstoys.com has Beachcomber in stock at $19.99).

Went to the Wal-Mart in Tewksbury after work yesterday and found the last four Energon Combiner limbs (Blackout, Blight, Bonecrusher, and Wideload). Looks like Energon is done for me, only want Alt. Shockwave and I can take a little break from hunting until May/June when Cybertron hits.

edit: I also forgot to mention that there was one Quickstrike in stock. In person it looks alot better than Bulkhead IMO; it tempted me, but since I won't but a repaint that is over a Deluxe, unless I can get it on clearance, I left it there.

This was at the Wal-Mart in North Tewksbury.

I needed to pick a few things up at Wal-Mart yesterday, so I went to the one near where I work when I finished. Of course I check to see if Alt. Wheeljack is in stock, which he wasn't, but I did notice several things of interest. The first is they were resetting the shelves, the reset still had Transformers Energon listed but I didn't check for Universe. The second thing I noticed was that all Energon Basics were marked down to $3.00 and all Deluxes were marked down to $4.00. The marked down deluxes included Roadblock and E. Starscream. The newest Universe deluxes minus Blastcharge were also marked down to $4.00. The final thing I noticed as I was leaving they had their remaining Energon Megas (Sixshot, Dreadwing, Wingsaber) marked down to $10.00. These were on a clearance display with some other toys near the check out counters.

I hate to post a question about non-Transformers sightings, but has anyone sighted the Star Wars Unleashed Wave 12 (Aurra Sing, IG-88, and Storm Trooper) and any Star Wars Titanium Series vehicles? For the Unleashed Figures it looks like they completely skipped that wave to get to the ROTS Figures. Thanks for any help.

For those of you who visit the Danvers Wal*Mart, they moved the toy section. It's just past the pet supplies, across the aisle from where it used to be.

I stopped in yesterday in hopes to pick up Clocker and the Recon Team (which I did), and they were just finishing up moving the toy section. Basically, all the toys were thrown on shelves, vaguely grouped by brand. The TFs were in with the model paints and cars. From what I could tell, they had the wave 1 and 2 basics, the wave 1 deluxes, megas, ultras, and leaders. No sign of supreme Starscream or any Alts.

After checking with the Medford Toys R Us on the Fellsway Plaza, I can give some of you an update. I haven't heard anything regarding this location in a long time. But here's what I've found. Oh, and... do translate as I'm very used to the Japanese names instead of Hasbro's wacky recycled ones.

Alternators: Shockblast x 2, 1 Wheeljack, plenty of Ravages, some Smokescreen/Sideswipe combo packages.

As for Cybertron...

Galaxy Convoy -- plenty around it seems
Master Megatron -- a handful
Supreme Starscream -- just 1
Flame Convoy -- Just 1
Dreadlock -- 2 (or was that 3?) found
Vector Prime -- plenty to go around, some overstock at the top shelf
Land Bullet -- plenty to go around, some overstock at the top shelf
Exillion -- a handful, no exact count
Thundercracker -- same as above
Inch Up -- unsure of exact count but found

I believe that's all I've found. I also do noticed something weird with Megatron while I was over there. The coloring seems to be off and I don't know why that's there. I was extremely tempted in getting Dreadlock/Jetfire as he has a silverish kind of finish on him but I'm also clueless as to how the paint job is on Takara's version. One thing is certain, I cannot trust Hasbro's version all that much, even tho I cannot find any obvious visual differences between Hot Shot and Exillion. A pity... I would have bought Hasbro's version had they kept the original paint job instead of making unnecessary changes.

It looks like that is about 25 miles, I'll check it out tomorrow. Buying the reissue for replacement Decals is almost cheaper than buying replacement decals from Repro/labels.
