I also found TF Universe figures at the Walmart in Johnson City, TN (northeast corner of the state!). Most all the Walmarts in the area (Bristol, Johnson City, Kingsport) and the Target store in Johnson City have also restocked a lot of the Armada toys, but no new ones yet :cry

There are also lots of G1 Reissue figs left at the Toys R Us store in Johnson City plus some Armada figs, and I found some Destructicons (RID) just across the border at the Bristol, Virginia Kaybee toy store in the Bristol Mall.

Anyone else from the "Volunteer State" find any cool stuff?

I'm at the opposite end of the state and we've gotten all the stuff up to Tidal Wave including the new minicons and supercons.

The only problem is we seem to get it in low low quantities and then it's forever til they are restocked. So it's literally a hunt when I go out for new figs.

Wife and I were actually on a MAJOR My Little Pony hunt for her when we went down to Knoxville yesterday (Sun 10/5/03). We hit just about every Wally World, Target, KayBee and TRU we could find. Most places had the usual poorly stocked shelves of early release Armada and some new Universe figs. Found a lot of the Built to Rule sets but is it just me? Or are they just too damned expensive to be really worth buying? I mean, cmon, they're LEGOS for crissakes!

I did find something very cool in that curious sorta way when I went to the Target on Clinton Highway - Armada mini-puzzles. I dont know if they've already been mentioned here but these little buggers are damned cool looking. Basically 50 piece miniature boxart puzzles - I found Cyclonus, Red Alert, Demolishor, and Scavenger. If you are interested in some cool little additions to yer collection, I definitely recommend stopping by there and picking some up if you're in the area :thumb:

Talk to the manager at your Rite Aid and see if he can get the ones you need from the Maynardville store sent to his store, or even just have him start ordering them, I'm sure they will do that for you.

No, no Starscream yet. The new Wal-Mart in Antioch doesn't even have Energon except Prime, and TRU only had the Megas.
That Wal-Mart DOES have all the Super-Con/Deluxe pegs filled up with Dinobots, though, if you need any of them.
Have you been to the Super Wal-Mart on Charlotte Pike to check for Starscream? It's pretty much the only place I would put odds on having him. Don't have a chance to check it this week, though.

on wednesday i went to have new tires put on my car at wlamart and of course i went to the toy section right afterwards and i noticed that my wlamart had started to redo their sections so all action figures were gouped together. i saw a few itmes of interest ...
armada powerlinx jetfire was 13.00
armada tidal wave was 13.00
powerlinx redalert and predacon and scavenger were 9.00
also saw energon ironhide and treadbolt with a clearance sticker of 10.00!!!!!!
being a honest person..i grabbed the toy manager and told her that armada was on sale and energon was her new tf toyline..so of course she changed them around...i just happen to mention that she had a crapload of unicrons and a few e-unicrons...i explained that this was the new planet-eater colrs and that target had armada unicron on sale for 21.38...so guess what...she scanned them and told me she had 20 aramda unicrons so she put clearance stickers on them for 21.00 dollars apiece...so if anyone needs an armada unicron let me know..i bought 2 for myself...:) but thats about it for right now...let yall know when i find alternator sideswipe..

The Toys R Us in Cool Springs has Starscream. I bought one this morning, and there was at least 2 more... right beside Rapid Run.
Also, a bunch of Armada Unicron in Eunicron packaging. What's up with that?

Also, for the so-inclined, the Target in Hickory Hollow has some good clearance going on, with $20 PX Prime and the Role Play Star and Dark Sabres for $7.48 each.

well today was a great day for me charles...i went to that new wlamrt that just opened up down in dalton georgia...five minutes from where i work and went to the toy section and after being disappointed that they had only smokscreen i happened to look behind a e scorpnok and found ULTRA MAGNUS!!!!!!!!!...best damned thing i have ever seen..after ordering mine online andthen finally finding one on the store shelves..i can say that im a very happy man..:)

Well, I called them about the Jetfire and it was still 25.00 :(, but I would call them anyway to see if the Tidal Wave is clearanced). I've also been looking quite a bit for clearanced armada stuff and havn't found very much and definently no tidal waves. Is there anything else your looking for and I'll keep and eye out. I've seen Unicrons (with and without the extra mincons), Predicons, PL Red alerts, Scavengers, and of course tons of Smokescreens.

Ohhh, yeah I almost forgot, if you need a scavenger the Lenior city had about 8 of them on Sunday for 11.00 each and an Armada Prime for 21.00.

Thanks. I'm in pretty good shape on most everything else; I'm not much in the way of a completist and Armade with the exception fo a couple of molds never really did much for me. Energon I've ppicked up everything that I wanted so far, so I'm good there too. I checked aroudn and still no Tidal Waves on clearance. I'm going to try to get a couple of my cousins to keep an eye in their areas too.

Big thing is money right now. I got out of work last month, so money's tight. So anything I spend on hobby stuff comes after bills, food, and utilities are all paid for.

What I need to know are the locations of wal marts, targets and TRU's downtown there. She's staying and performing at a University just outside of the downtow area (She tells me it's called University of Tennessee).

Anyhow, if anyone could provide me with the info, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hit Ray Mears Target, empty shelf where Prime was and some Sideswipes. Galager View Wally, nothing. Broadway Target, nothing. East Towne Wally, jack. Both TRUs, nada. Jefferson City Wally, nope. I just checked the JC Wally, K-mart, and Target today on my way back from ETSU. No luck. Man Walmart is so slow getting new stuff in. Must...find...Shockblast. :cry

Only new thing I saw was some of the newer Joe figures and the Battle Mechs. So not a total loss. :)

yeh, i got the mechs about a month ago when i saw them (i saw them like 3 months ago and passed, never saw again until then, so i snatched em right up :ev: ), then a few weeks ago i finally got VvV wv 2 when they dropped to $5, then i found wv3 immediately afterwards... $5 for 2packs, cant go wrong (especially when in some cases you're only getting 1 decent figure, damn you AA!)

edit: cases as in like each 2 pack weighed on its own merits, not a shipping case of figures
edit 2: LMK if you find the new GI Joe comic packs at Target or anywhere, i have GOT to get those...

There was also an Arcee at the Target by WestTown, I put her on the top peg in the very back to try and hide her for any of you guys that might want her.

Last week, the Target on Broadway had the first sighting of Omega Supreme in Knoxville. This morning, Turkey Creek Target had reset their toy aisles for the fall/Christmas season. I bought 1 of the Omega Supremes and (as of 20 min. ago) there were 2 left in stock. No sighting of Shockblast, yet.

Walker Springs Wal-Mart in Knoxville has 1 Alt. Hound and 4 Alt. Silverstreaks as of 11:00 this morning. Most Targets in the area have reset and almost all of them have Omega Supreme in stock.

Charles, I'm forgot that I'm going to be in West Virginia that weekend of the TF meeting ... DAMN! Hopefully we can have another one soon, I would really like to meet up with everyone.

After a weekend at my family's house in Alabama, I must say that I'm DAMN glad to be living in Tennessee. It is a collector's wasteland! It wasn't all bad, though ... I did manage to snag a couple of Harry Potter Dementors for a friend of mine. I know I must have checked 11 or so Wal-Marts on the way down and the one which left the best impression on me was located on Brainerd Road in Chattanooga. It was the only Wal-Mart between Knoxville, TN and Tuscaloosa, AL which had Omega Supreme in stock. The lady in the toy department there was super nice, too.

Feral Prime, you're REALLY lucky to live near that Wal-Mart. Actually, I did stop at several Wal-Marts b/w here and Tuscaloosa: 2 in Knoxville, 1 in Lenoir City, Athens, Cleveland, 2 in Chattanooga, Ft. Payne AL, 3 in Birmingham, and 2 in Tuscaloosa ... my comment was regarding the fact that the one you live near off Brainerd Rd was the best of them all. The other Wal-Mart in Chattanooga (near Hamilton Place Mall) was terrible! I can't speak too negatively of it, though ... I did find my JL 10" Wonder Woman at that Wal-Mart back around January. Maybe I'll bump into you there someday.

Saw an open case of Ultra wv.3 at WM on Stone Dr. Kingsport, flipped the lid, Bulkhead! (the rest was 1x Landmine, and 1x Scorpy), so i took the Bulkhead and ran :p

for the Joe fans, they also had the new Comic packs, but like JoCy only 1 and 2, no Abernathy and friends pack :(

Well for those in a knock-off buying sort of mood. Go over to Farragut/Concorde in the Kroger's shopping center across from Farragut highschool. There's a store called "Dollar Store and More" Every sort of freaking knock-off you could want almost. Some Beast Wars, some that looked like knocked Japenese bots, a few vaguely G1 ish looking jets, some Dinobot knocks. I'm said 30 or so different bots, from about 4 or 5 series (American and japanese). Some of them didn't even have english language boxes/cards, they were still in their Asian language boxes.

Yesterday morning at the Super Target in west Knoxville ... it was like Christmas! They had the new case of Alternators: 2 Hounds, 1 Silverstreak and 1 Dead-End! They also had the new Xevoz 2-pack with the Cryo-Katana ice-guy. The Hasbro rep (Shiela, if any of you know her) was there and I was so tempted to give her a hug! Keep an eye on Target for Dead-End if you're looking.

The Wal-Mart at Turkey Creek had 2 Alternator Hounds and 1 Dead End as of 10:15 this morning. I've already got my Dead End, but anyone else who's looking, he may still be there.

Also, this same Wal-Mart had the new Energon "PowerLinks Battles" basics and deluxes. I didn't see Sharkticon or Towline (someone beat me to them), but they did have the new repainted HotShot and Downshift. All the new basics were there ... Command Ravage looks pretty cool.

today i had a small haul and ahalf..:) found energon hot shot sharkticon towline and down shift at the gunbarrel walmart and found the universe nemesis prime at the northgate target...and guys if they tell you at target that they cant hold things for you from the stock room its not true ...i had a long talk today with the guy that grabbed me mine and he said that their no holding policy was for "hot items" meaning the items that they cant keep in stock...so argue with them til you get that exclusive in your hands...goodluck..:)
