I thought we Oregon hunters could use a new forum of our own here. And I figured a good way to start this thread off would be...

STARSCREAM RE-ISSUE!

Found *one*, sitting all by it's lonesome, at the Jantzen Beach TRU! I checked the Clackamas TRU on the 14th, zip, and the Lloyd Center TRU today, also zip. But lo and behold, there he was in all his glory at Jantzen Beach. Box quality is great, but not perfect: there are a couple of small scrapes on the back, so I might open him since I never owned the original as a kid. (Ramulus imagines G-Force screaming "Noooooooo!" in slow motion and laughs >) )

But he's out there, or will be shortly, at a TRU near you...happy hunting!

One thing, looking from the outside. Wasn't SS white, or off white? I don't remember him being this dark grey/silver color, but then again, it *has* been a long time since I saw one 'live' back in the 80's. The only jets I had back in the day were Thrust and Ramjet, none of the original three seekers. Maybe I'm confusing Ramjet for SS or something.

And as a side rant, if they are going to put choking warnings on the box, why make the missles so freaking huge? I can see them in the package and I can tell they are the new "safety" size. What happened to the "for adult collecters" nonsense? What, I ask you?! :-)

Jetfire is becoming more frequent. I picked up mine at Target (Wash Sq). Re-issue Ultra Magnus is quickly disappearing.
Some Toys R US's now have stickers out on bins for G1 Starscream, AND they have "Silversteak" and "Jazz" in their computers.

as for Wal-Mart, i passed Cornelius Pass and saw a sign with Wal-Mart something, either they bought land or its just a ad...so we might be seeing 1 more location (though it'll be like a year or two til it opens)...

but enough with the bad things...at least we got those bazillion Targets to go to.

FYI Salem has 1 TRU, 1 Target, 2 Walmarts, and 3 Fred Meyers.
I miss all the sales that went on around Christmas.

TRU only seems to have sales when they get desparately over-stocked...like when they had all those RID peg warmers. Otherwise, they never seem to have "regular" sales like the other chains do.

Still, we could use another Wal*Mart or two in the PDX metro area. The one out on 82nd is too far from my house, and the one in the couv, well...it's in the couv! (shudders) :-)

Fred Meyer does rock when it comes to HOC, and for that I am grateful. Plus the pre-media company I work for shoots all the FM ads, so I always know when the TF's will be on sale (and the photographers ask me to make sure they are transformed correctly, lol! :) )

Don't forget about the Wal-mart in Fairview/Gresham. It's never anywhere near as busy as that 82nd freakshow. I avoid that place like anthrax.:eyebrow

Granted fredy meyer's does not always have sales when we want them but it looks like they got in some of the Wave 1 HOC figures - megatron & prime with guns and some others. I saw these at the fred meyer on TV hwy and 217

there's still 4 Jetfire's at Target Washington Square...and another 4 at the TV Hwy Jetfire....and NO G1 re-issues (not even magnus) at TRU Tigard on the shelves or above...thats about it.

I checked the Salem TRU today (I'm on vacation this week)...nada, not even any Magnus or Prime RID on clearance. But of all things the Cottage Grove Wal*Mart had the best Armada selection I have ever seen...tons of everything, all sizes, you name it. Either someone there likes Armada, or no one ever buys them. :-)

Cottage Grove (or just "The Grove", as my parents call it in a vain attempt at making it sound 'hip') is about 20 minutes south of Eugene. Not normally a place you would want to drive all the way to for a toy, but I happened to be down there the first part of this week. I only mentioned it because they had the best selection of Armada I have ever seen in a Wal*Mart...kudos to them.

BTW, the box is very heavy duty cardboard, unlike any TF box weve seen to date,:p Very nice!

I also checked Lloyd TRU, they had nothing new.

I work right near Lloyd TRU and they have been seeming to get the stuff very late, I think I first saw a scavenger there a few weeks ago. I was somewhat disappointed when I got my starscream from amazon because I expected to have some paint on the face instead of needing to apply a sticker, but I guess some board members have said that is being spoiled.

I made a few more stops today -

Fred Meyer at 158th & walker had two blurr's, and about 4 optimus primes, still wave 1 HOC

Target at 185th near HW 26, had about 3 supercon optimus prime for those who have not found that, and about 4 jetfire. I found one of the new land military team also looks even better in person than on the web. funny thing was the land military team did not ring up a price they had to manually enter a price.

Hey guys I just back from the TRU in Tigard and they Starscream, so I bought one and there were three left. They had one Power master Prime Left on the shelf, but I saw a case in the shelves. And when I was checking out I learned that they had just got Starscream in and they had probably another case or so. Happy Hunting.

As of Sunday all the "reissues" where gone from the Salem TRU. Other than that, Armada quite adequately warms the shelves in Salem.
So far I haven't seen Galvatron, Thundercracker, or any of the other newbies. Haven't been to Walmart though...

Well, I hit the Clackamas TRU and KB today on my lunch hour...nothing too noteworthy, except TRU had RID Prime on clearance still for $14.99, and KB had TONS of the clear Spychangers at $4 each...I grabbed a few of those ;)

Wow...that almost makes me feel guilty for selling a set (that I got when they first came out) on eBay for an ungodly amount. Almost. ;) But it's enabled me to buy them again for myself, so I guess it's all good.

BTW Tantrum and OmegaScourge, is the Target on TV Hwy the one in the Sunset Esplanade? That's the only one I know of...I checked the Beaverton/Hillsdale Hwy one last night and they had a nice selection of Supercons, but nothing else of interest.

I have lived on the west side of town for about 5 years now but I am not familiar with Sunset Esplanade? the target I was referring to is TV hwy (which I think is the same as beaverton hillsdale) and just a few blocks east of HW 217, there is a fred meyer nearby, I think they call the area fred meyer is in beaverton mall. if that is the same target you went to then they must have restocked and an early bird got some of the goodies because there were only two sea team's left when I got there.

The Target I went too was the one by 217 and Canyon Rd...I guess I missed the sea team. The Sunset Esplanade is on TV highway in Hillsboro...it's basically a big strip mall.

I went back and look again today and we also have the Night Military team or whatever they are called. oh and thrust and sideswipe are sold out again, but we still have Blurr, Prime (with yellow highlights, still trying to decide if I want to get him since I already got the first one), a couple of Demolishers, and Sideways. Both Thundercrackers are still there as well, along with like four Scavengers. Oh, I'm going to Kennewick Washington on Tuesday, I'll let ya all know if I find anything good, I'm hoping for Jetfire.

Thursday was my day, went to 185th Target...they had Thundercracker (2 of them)...and the best thing was i got for the price of a mini-con pack...i got it when it was in the system yet, so the cashier had to call back to find out a price, she got back a number, which turned out to be the mini-con number, i even told her that it couldn't be the price, she then gave me the "thats the number they gave so i guess its your lucky day"...so WOOHOO.

went to Washington Sqaure and Beaverton-Hillsdale Targets yesterday, found Galvatron, Thundercracker, the sea-team at both...

this sucks, not having a computer to find sightings (so i have to wait til i get to work to do it)...well, i still need the Dark Saber, Thrust, & Sideswipe :(

at least galvatron is not going to be as rare as thundercracker, from what I have seen thundercracker is only in one assortment, while galvatron is in the current gigacon assortment at 2 a case, plus he will be in the assortment in june one a case.

Went shopping at lunch...they have a Galvatron at the Clackamas Target, but no Dark Saber teams. Clackamas TRU was a bust for new stuff, but they had plenty of supercons and Jetfires.

I found four Galvatrons, five Thundercrackers and one Jetfire (Jetfire was the one I wanted and it was at the BACK of the Galvatrons on the upper shelf, ofcourse) today at the SuperWalMart, one Galvatron and like seven Thundercracker at Target, and StarScream reissue at the Columbia Center TRU, in Kennewick Washington.

TRU: Whole lot of everything *but* transformers. I didn't see any reissues, but I may have just missed them (I'm not really looking for those guys). But I did find the new GI Joe Conquest X-30, which is probably the best jet ever released for the joe line. Other goodies included Spytroops packs and mission disc figures. In addtion, a bevvy of Marvel Legends figures series 2 and 3, as well as the full range of Spidey classics.
Target: Not much of note; wave 3 minis and wave 2 supercons. One Jetfire.

I hit the Lloyd Center TRU today. Lots of PMOP and Thundercracker, but no Thrust. Tons of Supercons though so if you need Sideswipe, Bendy Prime, or Blurr, they have your back.

I'm still looking for Thrust. I'm gonna try the Clackamas Target Tuesday on my lunch hour (I can't Monday because I have a meeting, grrr!)

Too true! The Hwy 10/217 Target was a bust, and I almost didn't go over to Washington square. But now of course, I'm glad I did! :-)

I opened Thrust last night....very cool fig! His minicon gimmick is a little...odd though. I'm saving Sideswipe to open this weekend, if I even open him that soon. I have a feeling from his pics that he might look best in the package, if you get my drift. ;)

I haven't been to that TRU in a while...sounds like a trip is in order, tho. From my past trips, it's always been hit or miss, so I'm glad to hear that things are shaping up there. :)

Off topic...I'm thinking of getting one of those new GBA...I got to actually hold one last weekend and played around with it. Did you get Zelda for that, or for a console? I seem to remember the sales guy saying something about a new Zelda for GBA, so that's why I was wondering. :thumb:

I found Starscream and Powermaster Optimus Prime at TRU on Lancaster in Salem. They had 12 PM Optimus Primes... I had them search the computer for the regular Prime and Magnus, no such luck. If anyone knows where I can get them other than eBay, please let me know.

Picked up Sideswipe today from Milwaukie Fred's. They had 1 left, as well as 1 Thrust left. I also found a REALLY cool collectibles shop in Milwaukie, it's called Main Street Collectibles. It's on the same block as Things from Another World. The place is HUGE! It has a real old time soda fountain in the shop, I also found the showcases that will be going in the new house. They have like 12 of them to your right as you come in the door (they are the ones with the cool lights in them) I'm afraid to find out how much they cost, but I will need AT LEAST two of them. I also got an employee to let me take a look in the back of the shop and OH MY! the owner has his personal TF collection back there (not for sale) and I was DROOLING! He had too many cool things to list including a MIB Fortress Maximus. May I suggest that any of you OTA members go check this shop out.

I found reissues Jazz, Blue(Silver)Streak, and Thundercracker at the Clackamas Toys R Us on 82nd today.
Is it just me or has Oregon...well, at least the Willamette Valley...been getting TFs really early? I found Galvatron within a day of the first reported sightings, these three within a couple of days of the first reported USA sightings, Thundercracker within a week...heck I've found almost all of Armada within a week to a week & a half of the first reported USA sightings. I remember waiting darn near half a year for TM2 Cybershark and Blackarachnia. Anyone else noticed this?

I went to the Tigard TRU last night and they had 8 silverstreak on the shelf, I held off on buying one. They had stickers for thundercracker on the shelf but none there, so I asked one of the employees, he told me they just came in along with Jazz and went to the back to get one for me. When I left he was putting the remaning 3 Tundercrackers on the shelf and I assume he had a box of Jazz also. He also told me that he thought they would have the next series around June. Hey Gang,

While traveling home from Seattle Friday I stopped at the Tacoma Mall TRU...they had everything, and I mean freaking everything. G1 re-issues, every Armada fig currently out, you name it. It was one of those old-school TRU's and it reminded me a lot of when I was a wee lad. But did Rammy have any money? Of course not! :mad: I hit the Centralia Wal*Mart in hopes of finding the Dinobots, but they are in the midle of a "Super Wal*Mart" upgrade and had very little.

Today I hit the Jantzen Beach TRU and Target. TRU had the G1 Thundercracker and Silverstreak (LOTS of both) but no Jazz or PMOP. Target had the Galvatron's with the bonus re-paint of the minicon team (who's names are escaping me now), a couple of jetfires, and some clear spychangers on an endcap.

Someone please post here if they see the Dinobots at Wal*mart...Rammy want's them reallly bad! :)

What stores have people found that are the best for recieving new items?
The best Targets I've found are the Springfield and Albany stores.
The best Wal-Marts are Lebannon and Wood Village. For a while, I would have said Woodburn over Wood Village, but since they turned into a Super Wal-Mart, they've been total crap.
The best Toys R Us would probably be Salem, then Clackamas.
The best KBs would be Clackamas and Tigard.
Anyone know of any better stores?

I still want the re-issues but at $30 each, I'll pay $5 more and go for theTakara releases.

I found the Dinobots at the Walmart on Commercial in Salem today. They had the Slapper/Snarl and Sludge/Triceradon packs, but no Grimlock/Terranotron (yeah, the back did say Terranotron, not Swoop). I got the last of each one, though. However, they are in Oregon.

Right you are...I'm such a dorkus maximus. I looked it up online after I posted and was like whooooa...way off! So either on my way up or way back from Eugene, I might veer off I-5 and check it out. You say they had Dinobots the other day? I did a Mapquest from Fry's (I have to stop by there on my way down this afternoon to return something) and it said McMinnville was an hour and 15 minutes from Fry's...does that sound right? Man, that's like more than halfway to the coast!

Maybe if you're driving really slowly. I sometimes have to make deliveries in McMinville and I live in Milwaukie. It takes me about 50 minutes to get home from there and I tend not to drive too much over the speed limit...and that's during rush hour usually.

The Clackamas KB is closed, boarded up, while they remodel. No date on the sign as to when they will re-open.

The Clackamas Target has Lots of the Dreadwind and Smokejumper exclusives, and quite a few supercons, including several Sideswipes if you still want to grab him. But no really "new" figures other than that.

The Clackamas TRU has TONS of supercons, all on sale for 9.99. We're talking the usual full section, plus another one of equal size up front by the video area. BUT, No Armada beasts or any other new figures, just lots of Optimus, Blurr, Sideswipe, Demolisher, etc. They also had a good stock of all the G1 re-issues.

went to Woodburns yesterday (first time there), check out the BOSE store, man was that cool, along with other stores....then finally ended my trip at Wal-Mart, man they didn't have nothing (No Super-Con figures, like 5 Super-Pants Prime and 15-20 Megatrons on one shelf and 5 more on another shelf)...grrr...

I found a Terrorsaur at the Clackamas Target today. Then I went to the Mall 205 Target to see if I could find Rhinox, and I did. Grabbed him, but there was still a Terrorsaur left there. It might be a good time to try out Targets in the area, as it seems multiples stores got the figures in. Also, both figures came with the volume 4 comic (Overload, Tidalwave, Unicron, etc.)

yeah, my terrorsaur and rhinox both came with the Vol. 4 comic....and i predict there'll be more next week....

went to the McMinnville Wal-Mart today , took me an hour drive thru the back roads (if i were to go thru the freeway, it would be 2x as long (or thats what Wal-Marts directions said it would be))...but anyways, there were lots of Dinobots (though they were the stock above)...got me all 6 of them....

all i need now is the new HOC PVCs....happy huntings...

Well I had SUCKY luck this weekend! While out visiting friends and family in the Eugene area, Between Portland and Eugene I hit four Wal*Mart's, one Target, and a TRU and found SQUAT! I was seriously upset...usually my TF mojo is working much better than that!

So if anyone sees the Armada Beasts or Dinobots, please post a sighting. Tomorrow I'll be trying to hit the local Target's, but any heads up will be welcome!

Also, I have KB Scourge and Bludgeon I will trade for a Armada Terrorsaur/Rhinox plus $5 (the KB exclusives were $12.99 each, so I think that's fair). But PM me soon, otherwise I'll be returning them. :)

I-5 was such a mess Friday afternoon when I left that I took 99 to Salem...and got so lost it wasn't funny. I never made it to McMinville, so I have no idea what's there. I thought "no biggie" since I knew I'd be hitting the other Wal*Mart's on my trip, but as you can see from my previous post, that was incorrect. :(

Yea...I'm right behind the hill behind the Burlingame Fred Meyer, but facing South. Are you by the Swan Mart, or more towards downtown? Either way, it's cool to talk to a local whose that close. :)

i've been in Oregon for little over a year now, you don even know how much times i got lost (i'm still not used there being the street name on the traffic light post, street changing name every 2-3 miles, & little amount of street lights)...but getting lost, i was able to find some neat places (Clakamas Mall, Mall 205, Lloyd Center, bunch of Targets & Fred Meyers)...

and i'm still waiting for Fred Meyers to stock on some HOC Figues...i still need Galvatron, Grimlock, and whoever...

I moved here eight years ago, and I *still* get lost from time to time. But you are right Omega, there's nothing like getting lost to help you find those stores and places you never knew about. A couple of years ago I got lost in the Beaverton-ish area and came across a Rite-Aid. Wen't inside, and they had TM II Dinobot and Cheetor just a hangin' on the rack. So sometimes, it's cool to get a little lost. :)

checked out K-Mart on Murray/TV Hwy...they have 2 Rhinox's...the bad thing, i once again went out without my wallet on me (this is like the 10 or so time)...so whoever needs him, there yah go....also checked out Fred Meyers on TV Hwy, still no HOC figues....grrrr

I hit the Hwy 10 and Washington Square Target's tonight after work. Hwy 10 had the Dreadwind/Smokejumper's on clearance for $17.88, but nothing else new. The WS has the Galvatron and Jetfire bonus packs, but nothing else new. If you still need the clear Spychangers, the WS Target had them on clearance...for 62 cents each! I picked up two extra sets just on general principal, but have no fear...they had a shopping basket full of them in the toy aisle. ;)

Gonna hit the Jantzen Beach Target and maybe even the Wal*Mart in the couv'...will post my findings as always. Me need the Armada Beasts! :D

Well yours truly hit a lot of stores today, and got a lot of nuthin'. Lloyd KB has lots of Scourge and Bludgeon, but that's about all. Lloyd TRU had squat, as did the Jantzen Beach Target and TRU. 82nd Wal*mart had ZIP, but I did get my first GO-BOT there (Buzz Bot) just so the trip wasn't completely worthless. :)

That's my report. If anyone sees anything exciting, let us know...
